I spoke with him with PM, his shop was being rediculous with time so he's basically doing electronics at the time, when that's all said and done, he's going back to a shop. That's if he keeps the turbo, with all the service issues he's considering a swap etc. Either way he'll catch this post soon and let ya know

I am currently the donor car for the Xtreme Power & Performance Turbo kit. So technically, its custom at this point, but it will be available as a kit later this summer. Hopefully, I will have it done before the Mid Atlantic Meet next month, so everyone can check it out. If not, I will be back to Rockville one night and you can see it.

I'm still going custom as MadWheel said. The list:
Turbonetics T3/T04B
Stafford Fabrications Manifold
GReddy Type-S BOV
GReddy E-manage
GReddy PRofec e-01 boost controller/data logger
GReddy Full Auto Timer
TiAL 35mm Wastegate .3BAR
Autometer Pillar Pod
Autometer Ultra-Lite Boost Gauge
Autometer Ultra-Lite A/F Gauge
Autometer Ultra-Lite Oil Temperature Gauge
Autometer Pro-Shift Lite
Stafford Fabrications Downpipe
Pruven IC Piping (Tig Welded Mandrel Bent Mild Steel, Powdercoated)
Spearco FMIC Core (Bar and Plate)
ACT HD Clutch Kit (Organic Street Performance Disk)
Random Technology Hi-Flow Cat
The clutch kit and turbo timer are already installed. I'm installing the E-manage, PRofec e-01, and the autometer stuff this weekend. If I have time, I will also shave the bumper for the intercooler and mark off the spots on the intercooler to have flanges welded on by a friend. I'm installing the manifold and wastegate (and test fitting the turbo) the day before I go to the shop and driving it down there for them to finish. They will have to:
Install Turbo
Install Oil lines
Install Midsection and Cat (lengthen O2 Sensor wires)
Make and install IC piping
Hook up the lines to the wastegate and manifold
Install Injectors (bore fuel rail, lift TB)
Dyno and tune
The shop around here opened 2 years ago. They said ever since that, they have been waiting for a break and never got one. That's why they are so backed up. My car sat in the lot for 2 weeks and was never moved. There aren't too many places in the NE to do this work so I gotta roll where the punch is. Plus they have 1 of 5 worldwide AWD dynos, so people come from all over to use that and that backs them up even more. I think after waiting, the end result will still be good though.
Either way... I'm saving well over $1000 by doing the work myself. I saved $300 alone by going with SF's downpipe.
EDIT: My plan was to have mine done by the Mid Atlantic meet too. But when it came down to going through a huge chunk of the summer without a car, I figured I'd rather have the car right now more than the turbo. I have a lot to do right now anyway.

buying ready made kits would probably be the best way to go because they do all the R&D for you... custom kits are cool too but you're more likely to run into problems and it would take a lot longer to make.... Catalyst had a custom kit for his car before the SF kit and it didn't run nearly as well as the SF kit does...

i will definitly be purchashing a premade kit. whos kit is still up in the air. im still waiting for other turbo kits results etc. as of right now im leaning towards SF power. but if the price spikes up.. i dunno mite have to go for a less expensive kit.
basically
whoever has the best price to power ratio wins my cash.

thanx
ima try to take some measurements and make an estimate of if
my manifold would be close to lining up the same as yours
where the downpipe would met upthe same or close where there wouldn't need to be major adjustment
ima ask around too and see what other have o offer
i'll PM you if i have any questions

well i like the fact that you don't have to fab all of the intercooler pipes or purchase all of theparts seperatly. you also get some assurance if you buy a kit from sf because so far they have proved themsleves to be a very reputable company that knows what they are doing. i will buy an sf kit when the time comes.

We are also the most upgradable. The kits start out as what you guys know as a stage 3 kit. Stafford (SFpower) calls his best kit a stage 6 kit, just for kicks.
But so far we have...
air-water intercooler
upgraded turbo
equal length manifold
water/alcohol injection
3" downpipe
And soon we will have Intake manifolds!
(they are b!tchin!!!)

Let me put it this way.....
Hickman came by the shop with one of these manifolds. And to prove to me that they were strong, he threw it (hard) against the asphault. Then he stood on it and jumped up and down. He then took it to the welding table and beat on it with a hammer. After all of this, it didnt have a scratch.
dont know yet, but it will be reasonably priced. I mean it is for the 7th gen, and us 7thgen'rs dont have a ton o cash. at least I know i dont.

the manifolds are composite much like the stock but w/ better flow dynamics. the first is being tested on a b16 for power gians and reliability then its on to 7th gens.
