bought my first car, first civic

hi guys, i just bought my first civic and its my first car. Its a 2000 civic ex coupe stick shift with 160xxx miles.

all it needs done is the left front bearing. also the left speaker keeps going in and out. What should i do to fix it?

Looks nice, congrats!! You will very pleased with it, I always have been with my Honda's...Your speaker is probably going in out cause of loose connection or a bad connection. Take off the door panel and take a look to see what you can find.

i unscrewed the screws for the speakers and their is black stuff around it so i cant get the speakers off. what should i do?

Looking into my crystal ball to see what "black stuff" is...

How about some pictures? And preferably ones with much greater resolution than the ones you currently have in your photobucket album.

i think its some sort of insulation or something lol around the whole speaker.

Picture would be great..but it should come right off..just pull a little harder..mabye the person before you tried to seal it or something...
