Recently purchased this car few days after I purchased the car it started to overheat. Changed the thermostat and still overheats....... Can anyone give me a lil insight on why this is happening?

Overheats because the radiator was low?
Fan works or no?
Maybe you are learning why it was for sale in the first place.
Needs a head gasket?

I topped the fluid after I changed the thermostat....... I agree I'm definitely learning why it was for sale!!!!!!!! Especially what I got it for.
Anyway I was thinking about dropping a b20 in there!!!! Car was a steal for the price and I have yet to put money into it.

Re: 01 honda civic ex

Fill radiator and burp system, top off to the top completely full.
Fill reservoir to max line (about half full)

Run and drive.
If reservoir gets waaay overfull and/or overflows, and the radiator goes about a quart low and stays that way, it's probably a head gasket.
