Well sort of. Not really a toy but its another thing I had to have and a co worker is selling me his new glock 22. I have been wanting one for a while and just decided now is the time. I am not sure how many gun peeps are here but add me to the list. For those who do not know here is the site and if you are too lazy then its a 40 cal. Just thought I would share!

Rep Power: 0 Ok I have been shooting like crazy. I found a local place that has a decent range. But the kick *** part is they have guns to rent of which includes.......a 50 cal sniper...ak47...ar14...desert eagle 44mag...and alot more so if you want to go Jarrod hit me up any time. Btw I am hearing alot of very good stuff about the taurus line and well it sounds sick.

Dude, just buy it yourself. You have to buy a .25 cent pamplet, read it though, and pass a test that asks you such mundane questions as "It's okay to point the gun at someone:
A When it's unloaded
B When the safety is on
C Never
D As long as you don't shoot them
Really easy test. No brainer questions.
Chris:
Dude, I'm UP for that. I was thinking of taking two nephews of mine out to the Delta in a few days, and plinking with a few 9mm and shottie rounds, but I also really enjoy my SKS, Mosin Nagant, and 30.06's. Let me know if you want to meet out somewhere sometime
On the 4th of July I drove up into the mountains and shot my guns, MAN they were great. I should have invited you then.
Where's the gun range you were talking about? I shot .50 BMG before, they are tons of fun.....

Rep Power: 266 There is a skeet(SP?) club right next to Business 80 off of fulton in Sacramento. Its great because you can go to the stores over off of auburn and watch people duck when they hear it. Does anyone know if spenceville is open yet?

Rep Power: 466 I'm looking into a possible trade of my Remington 700 for a Glock in .40. I hate .40, but I figure it's an upgrade, so I could trade the .40 for a 9mm, which is what I'd really enjoy. Something about 9mm's, they are just so clean and versatile....

Yea 9's are cool but I really like my 40 its a good size larger and shoots harder than a 9. All in all the 40 pulls up harder and is harder to shoot than a 45. To me a 9 in just to small it does not feel like a challenge to shoot.

Rep Power: 466 The stopping power of a .40 isn't much, if any, more than the 9mm. The extra advantages of the 9mm appeal to me, such as them being a good SMG round, and more readily available than the .40, it just seems to make sense for me.
The caliber size is barely different. Damage done?
Less kick, more rounds you can carry... I'm a big fan of 9mm's. Not knocking .45's, but I just like the 9's.

Rep Power: 0 ^^dam that is cool. Yea the 45 is cool but it only holds 7 rounds and they are pricey. I have 3 15 rounders and a 10. Imo the 9 i just easily shot and the 40 for me is just a challange to make a good shot and the 45 is just easy to shoot kicks straight back and makes a mess of a target paper lol. Damit all this talk about guns is making me want to shoot lol. You set it up Jarrod and I will try to get that day off! Any place you want I will be there. Btw what the hell is the difference in the grain and what does it mean?

Rep Power: 466 The 45 is great, but 7 rounds isn't enough for me. I like the extra ammo that a 9 can carry.
The grain is the size of the bullet itself, aka how heavy it is. Like a "grain" is a weight of measure, so the heavier the bullet, the slower it'll go but the larger and more damage it will cause. So you got a shorter range in the 45, but more immediate stopping power... etc. There's a whole bunch of factors to weigh in, like a heavy 45 will penetrate deeper. If you can hit the target.
How do evenings of workdays work out for you? I know a place out in the middle of the delta off Lower Jones Tract where the farmers don't mind you shooting, and wild gourds grow out there, great for splattering. I'd like to go and fire a few more rounds out of my sks, maybe a few rounds of Mosin-Nagant, my nephews want to fire my 9mm and shotty... and I still have a couple hundred rounds of 30.06 surplus
Let me know a good time. Tons of fun.
