I got my car back!
SWEET
After 1 broken tensioner (timing belt), a bad timing belt and 4 bent valves, my car is finally back in my hands. I drove it for the first time today in... probably close to 10 months.
Problem: 20 miles into cruising home, the check engine light popped back on.
Whatever. I'm just happy to have my car back. It's so much nicer than a bulky Ford Windstar...

10 months because getting married sucks up more money than you'd think it would, moving out too, plus all the little things associated with getting married, like clothes for the wifey, food, gas (i'm commuting now) and all those little things that you don't really think about.
That's enough to put a hold on fixing your car.

^Only if you have a HUGE wedding. And I mean HUGE. Luckily, her parents paid a good chunk of it, I still got stuck with more than I should have, but I was blessed to have an incredibly cheap wedding, while still keeping the quality good. My wife had her dress MADE by her stepmother, we rented a church for $300 because her pastor knew the pastor of the church, we rented a whole resturant for the reception at only $900, etc... so yeah, we made out like bandits...

^You can bet I will. A lot of people say that Civics are slow, but after 10 months of driving a v6 minivan with a 220hp motor, I was amazed at the get-up-and-go that my little I4 w/ mods puts out. Civics really are quick little cars, and I found myself cruising at speeds that I really shouldn't be cruising at just for fun.
