i've been working for stater brothers market for about 2 years now... i've basically been their b*tch... baggin' groceries, running around the parking lot picking up carts and bringing them back uphill... throughout my time there i've been considered for promotion about 8 times now... everytime a position came up, i'd always get passed up by some n00b that has been working there half the time i have... i've been really frustrated with them and i almost quit my job about a month ago... but i kept telling myself that it will come and that i should just stick with it.... well... i guess all that time and effort paid off cause the manager has moved me up to a checker position... he just moved me straight into checking without going through the middle wage positions... with this checker position, means a nice raise in pay... i guess that means more mods for the civic... maybe.. anywyas.. i was just really happy and decided to tell all my so. cal peeps about it.. woot!!

You know, Lingenfelter has an S15 (well, sonoma), and he dropped in a C5R 427ci block and twin turbo'd it. His little truck runs a 9.5 sec 1/4 mile on radials!

the S15 is a jdm nissan silvia, RWD sr20det (i think). Similar to the usdm 95-98 240sx (s14) but a whole lot better looking in my opinion.

basically the entry position is baggin'... then you move up to stock clerk where you fill shelves like beer and bread.... then after some time of doing that, you can move up to checker/cashier.... i don't have to be a stock clerk... the manager is moving me straight up without having to do that crap... thank God..
lets just say i'll be making about double of what i make now...

keep in mind that this is a part time job and its not like it's perminant or anything.. its just a good job to put me through school...

Congrats...I was working at Ralphs baggin **** and running after carts too. I did that for about 11 months and it was a easy job. I just wanted to be promoted to the night shift crew or be a receiver in the warehouse or a wrapper. They get paid like a grip. Plus the benefits when I was there was great. Proud member of Union UFCW 770...representin....hahah
