muffler places
anyone kno any good muffler places in the 626/909 area? im a noob when it come to mufflers and such..but i want mine to be louder since all i have i s a muffler..
you mean G2, right? in that case, someone needs to get a sound clip of it up. i have mine here sitting in a box, and i really want to hear what it sounds like while mine waits to be installed
the g2 u are refering to is the one from Erik? if you're talking about that one..
i can make you a sound clip..
oh and if you're willing to drive to whittier (10min drive from 626)
there is a ghetto looking, but nice work doing place called sam's
muffler that jeff aka nytryder refered me to.. they charge 80$ for
a catback install... below is their info..
Sams Muffler
11707 Washington Blvd.
Whittier, Ca 90606
but yah.. hasoomi if u want the clip i'll make it tomorrow..

well depends on what you got.. do you only have a muffler? they can do axel back as well.. but what i did was bring in a muffler and had them change the whole pipes up and use the muffler i had.. i paid a bit extra cuz i got a new resonator.. but yeah.. i believe catback refers to the whole new pipings and stuff.. as to axel is only putting the muffler on stock pipes.. correct me if i'm wrong..

ok...i wanna put my muffler on axelback, but i bought two G2 mufflers...so how much would that cost..i think its like 80 because its axelback but im getting a dual setup done
EDIT: this is referring to chiboi's post
well, axle has a LITTLE custom pipes....just from the rear axle on to the muffler. so it's not much, but it's still something. and yeah, please do make a sound clip if you can (pshh, you owe it to me for the points i gave you
jk). thanks (and anyway, i'm pretty far away from that place you mentioned; i've found some place here that'll do the axle-back for 60, so i'll just do that).

i just got the g2 installed this past saturday... i went with an axle back as well cause i didnt want to buy a new resonator. i made it so that i could bolt back my stock muffler if i wanted it. charged $45.
got it done at super tuning in van nuys. i would get sound/video clips but 1) my computers a peice of **** 2) i'm still on 56k. if your around me, your more then welcome to come by and hear it tho. it sounds really nice. not loud at all(just the way i like it), nice and deep, not ricey/raspy at all. you could hear it till like 4k rpms then after you hear the intake more.
oh and i had him cut part of the underside of the bumper so that the muffler can kinda fit flush. wish it was slightly higher tho.. i'll take pics of that when i get home

ya he asked who sent me and i told him charlie. dont think it was mandrel bent tho, cause the bends seem like the pipe's diameter is smaller. never seen the difference between crush vs mandrel so cant say for sure. didnt realy care since it was just an axle back anyways.
