i would never do either of those. just the thought of jumping out of a plane and the only thing that you have to save your life is a little backpack with a parachute. i guess you can say im not much of a thrillseaker but i would rather just go to magic mountain.
the chances of your chute failing is very slim but theres always a chance. just think about falling from the sky with a failed chute or a messed up bungy cord.....ahhhhhhhhhhhh-boom-dead

I'd going with NytRyder2k2 on this one. I'm not willing to put my life into a cord or backpack. If I wanted to get the adrenaline pumping, i'd go to a vegas track where you can drive an indy car.
yeah, man, the chances of ONE chute not deploying is slim, but there's a backup, and the chances of BOTH not deploying......is almost none. i'm not saying that it's impossible, but i bet if you look up some statistics or something, it's probably pretty good. ANYway, on the topic of magic mountain
, goliath is AWESOME. i don't remember, but i think it reaches something like 3 Gs; i tried to raise my arms but i couldn't lift them out of my lap. hehehe. it was great

Well ya, what are the chances of anything failing. yes i know its possible but not likely. you cant live being afraid of death. I think its one of the few things you actually will remember in life. i dunno maybe its cause i'm the adventerous type. i even want to take a road trip to like new york. only thing stopping me right now is work(well kinda the gas price too). damn my life is boring, i need something exciting like this. WHEN i go, i'll let ya'll know how it went

here's an e-mail i got from skydivecaliforniacity...
"Hello
Thanks for taking the time to write us. We offer two different programs that you can do for the first time.
Our first program is the Tandem. This is about 30 minutes of training. You will be harnessed together with an expert jumping from 15,000 feet above sea level and have about 40-50 seconds of freefall. You have the option of pulling your own ripcord and then enjoy a 6-7 minute parachute ride. This cost $199 per person.
Our second program is the Accelerated Freefall. This is a 7 hour class, that begins at 7 a.m. You will jump with two instructors, one on either side of you. After about 50-60 seconds of freefall, you will pull your own ripcord
and fly the parachute yourself to landing. You make your jump after class weather permitting. This cost $299 per person.
We also offer video or pictures of your skydive for $60, or both video and pictures for $75. We do have a couple of requirements: you need to be 18 years of age or older and weigh 225 pounds or less. We are open 7 days a week and when making reservations we do require a $50 deposit per person.
If you have any other questions, or would like to make reservations, please call us at 1-888-373-4007 ask for Antoinette or Alberta. Or if you would like a brochure, just give us your home or work address and we will mail to you. We look forward to hearing from you.
