Well I got pulled over today for modified exhaust, intake, "blue" headlights, and a nitrous system..[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/IMG] I wasnt even doing anything wrong, no speeding or drivin like an idiot. He just decided to bust a U and pull my *** over. The cop is making me go to a state referee to clear the ticket. My question is has anyone been to one. What do I have to do? Can I just take out my NOS tanks and remove the jet from the intake but leave the lines or do I have to remove the whole system including lines? Can I just cut off my existing muffler and weld on the stock muffler or do I have to do the whole piping? Are they that ****? any fees or fines I gotta pay? any info would greatly be aprreciated.

for the muffler just weld the stock one back on...they won't check under your car for piping unless they are a bunch of bitches and unless even with the stock exhaust its still loud...they made me pay 80 bucks for the exhaust mod and thats not including bringing it to the shop to weld it back in which cost me 20 bucks...

my friend just switched cars with someone else with the same car for his tints.. maybe that would work? this is changing the plates as well of course.. i doubt they would check the vin. just make sure the car your switching with isnt totally stock or they might get suspicious..

As for the exhaust....just throw on a stock one i still have mine if you wanna borrow it....it has a phat tip haha. Throw back in stock airbox(i got that also if you need it) and as for the nitrous i thought that as long as the NOS lines aren't connected it would be fine? Well thats what alfred told me hahah. You should ask him or something since he knows all about the rice tickets [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/IMG] Lemme know if i can help.

That sucks, I know what it feels like... I'm always scurred of driving my car since it's loud as hell and cops are everywhere now. Put the stock muffler back on, OEM bulbs and if you can see the Nitrous lines then it might have to be taken off... that idea of taking a homies car sounds cool, would save a lot of time and $... ?

My bf has a galant with an Apex N1 turbo muffler on it. He got a ticket for that and his intake and they made him go to the state referee. All he did was put a silencer on his muffler and that’s it. They didn’t say anything about it. They didn’t even question him about it at all. He passed all three parts of the smog and got the ticket thrown out. He did take is intake off cuz its for a eclipse (the 8g galant and 3g eclipse have the exact same engine) but the referee said it didn’t matter cuz the AEM paper said eclipse. Good Luck though currently my bf has 4 tickets haha for tint front windows, exhaust, no front license, white lights on hood (which are legal if white-already had it thrown out before). Oh yea you gotta pay like $30.00 for the smog and $8.00 for the certificate from the state referee.

Shouldn't cops have a reason to search cars? I mean just flippign a bitch and pulling you over is screwed they shouldn't have searched yoru car unless they knew you were using it or something...I'd read up on penal codes and stuff to find out if the search of your car was legal or not. Just liek they cant randomly go to someone's house and search it unless they were driving by and smelled pot for example...

Damn son, thats not cool. im not sure how **** they are down here but i had to go to the state referee up north and i tried to do what u said and just take off the tip, but they looked under the car so i had to change the entire exhaust. its a bunch of bs!

I thought if you have nos and it is coneected they impound your car. Just something that heard from my friend whos dad is a cop. I could be wrong though. Can anyone verify this for me? Good luck on whatever happens

Well got further news about that cop...it happened to be that my friend from my car club also got pulled over that same day about 20 mintues later from when I got my ticket BY THE SAME COP. For the same reasons he got a ticket too Well anywho, on the goodnote he went to the state referee and all they had him do was take a smog check test to see if would pass emissions and it did. So they let him keep the exhaust and all, so thats a plus. Anyways, thanks for the help guys, and SWIFTLER WATCH OUT NEAR SCHOOL MAN THATS WHERE WE GOT PULLED OVER ON MARGUERITE. and WHO R U "DIRTESANCHEZ", seems like you know me?
