Changing your aem cai into a short ram for the rain
OK I know this may sound like common sense to most of you. But if you havn't pulled the lower part of your cai off and made it into a short ram yet DO IT NOW! It isn't hard and may save your engine. Especially if your car is low. I just hate to see posts of people who have hydrolocked thier engine. The rain is coming down hard and causes alot of unexpected deep puddles. Just a piece of advice for us in Cali.
I know some people are pretty lazy in doing that... I'm one of them, and so is my buddy CivicSouldjaEX. I passed through what it seemed like a river in Rancho Cucamonga, good thing I was in my truck and not a couple inches off the ground in my car. You can always put your stock air box, for those who have single piece intakes.

AEM & Injen CAI's are 2 piece so like he said remove the CAI extension.
I have a short ram intake by aem but I think rain still gets in my intake. Sometimes when i drive fast over mini-puddles, my engine makes a weird hissing noise, then my exhaust starts to rattle and rumble. I rev my car to 6800 to flush out the water , i think our cars kick up water from our passenger tire into our engine bay. Are any of you guys having the same problem or is it just me?

The water splashes might be going to your header and exhaust piping... i'm guessing that's why you hear the hissing sound.
I seriously doubt water gets sucked in short ram, eventhough i see some water spots on my filter..
