yeah if water hit a exposed wire then it would blow the fuse. See if there any cuts or openings in the wire insulation.

I had this problem, i think, with my led tails. The kit came with one too many ground wires, snip, and the problem was gone. make sure there isn't any exposed wire touching metal or if the kit has multiple ground wires.

the kelvins has nothing to do with the glare.

kelvin readings will indicate what color the hids will put out.

the misconception with kelvin readings is that the higher the kelvin, the brighter the lights.

Like the post above has said, the more kelvins, the LESS bright it will be.

4300K will be the brightest you can get.

6k was too blue for me, so i sold it to a local guy and he got pulled over the same day..


as for HID fog lights, i don't recommend them unless you have the OEM housings with the shields in them.

Ebay housings will cause a lot of glare and it might even look brighter than your housings up top.

I don't see how an extra grounding wire will cause something not to come on.

Usually when a fuse blows is when the power wire accidentally touches bare metal...
