Anybody here camping out for ps3s at best buy?
Went to the Wal-Mart in Rialto on Wednesday night.
They held a raffle for 12 units.
They had 40 wristbands but we scared away enough people so only 29 were given out.
My group had 4 wirstbands
Came home with a 20GB PS3.
Better than nothing...
We drove more than 200 miles and went to 20+ different stores.

I went all over the 71, 10,15, 60, 91, and 215.
Went to every Target, Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Circuit City, and even some K-Marts.
Was going to drive down as far as Carlsbad and up as far as Victorville but we found the Rialto one with only 3 people in line so we stayed.
Management wouldn't tell us anything about the way it would work until 2 or 3pm Thursday, which was when they gave out the wristbands for you to come back at 5am Friday.
We had 6 people in line and would have all gotten 60gbs if it was first come first serve.
2 people (including me) left for work and we got our names crossed off the list when they gave out wristbands.
Had we stayed for an extra hour we would have gotten them too!
So my friend and I went to alot of stores in south OC before settling on the Sony Style Store at South Coast Plaza.
It was going to be a mad dash to the store front once security opened the mall doors at 5:30am but thanks to retarded mall security it was a total nightmare with maybe 200 people running all over the place because they thought a big blob was a single file line.
We left with no luck.
But at least we got one lol.

i got one..60gb. went to yorba linda and was hella chill group. got there on wednes at 8am wiht my co-worker. i was 2nd in line.

That south coast sony style launch was a disaster. There were lines everywhere, I didn't stay long enough to see the outcome but I heard some poor girl got tazered. Oh and reservations for next shipment has been filled at that store (I spoke to one of the workers, he woulnd't tell me an exact answer but approx. 500 reservations)

I was wondering if your connection at GameStop could let you know when new shipments of the Wii would come in at their store? (Or if they don't know what's in the shipment, at least a heads up when they expect a new shipment of stuff?)
I've been randomly going to stores trying to find a Wii and it's just so sporadic. If I could at least get a date of shipment, then I know what day I'd have to get to the store early. Thanks

haha, that's a good idea, but i'd imagine people willing to pay the $1.2k+ amount won't have cash on hand. Plus, wanna be careful of cops/security.
