Hey guys. I've been away for a while now. I'm going to ask you for help with this. Few years ago, I had an autopage remote start alarm system installed and everything was just fine until I had an amp put into my civic. I just wanted to upgrade my audio system a bit, so I've bought 2 pairs of Polk db6500 speakers and Profile amp. After the amp was installed, and I start my car, my power windows, turn signals, emergency signal and interior lamp went to ****. When I take the key out, the gauges start to blink, then the power windows work, which is really weird and annoying. All the fuzes were checked and seemed fine. My alarm system acts up now and I dont know what to do. Also, not sure if it might be related, but I have no sound when I turn my headunit to CD player, but I do get it when I turn it to AM/FM. I'd beg someone to take a look and troubleshoot it for me to solve the problem. Someone please help me!!!
PS. I'm looking for a new headunit. Currently I have a Panasonic. Any suggestions of what I could buy to run my polks n the amp on? btw its a 1000W amp.

I installed it.
I have this feeling that keeping the battery disconnected for a while might have caused the alarm situation.
Also, when he says the electrical goes to ****. its flickers on and off so when you put the window down it goes down in portions.
I didn't touch the alarm's wiring or brain other than disconnecting the battery so I don't think it was the audio install that did it.
MBison, wasn't the CD player not working before we did the audio install?

whether its set to radio or cd, the output is still the same so if it works for one it should work for the other. well unless if the headunit itself is broken...
as for the other problem, kind of sounds like something with the alarm. i mean all those things are connected to it(window and all lights). i'm sure if you took out the alarm everything would be ok, only problem is figuring out whats wrong with the alarm. wait autopage... isnt that a cheapie brand?
