HeLLoOOo everyone, I'm CDkoinu's wife...you can tell from the name, that i'm not really happy and i'll tell you why. As of right now I don't have 15 posts so I'll send you all a picture of what i'm about to explain in a moment when I log on to my husband's username. let me just say my piece.

My husband is being too nice and not saying the whole story but judging from my username, you can tell i'm not nice right now....Those are not DENTS on the hood...they are PUNCTURE HOLES... Mechanic Josh (username: drivetofast) installed a motor in our car and w/ that, powersteering. He had to cut the inside of the hood to make room for it. By doing that, he cut/scraped too far and made puncture holes on my hood. Now here is the question i will ask all of you...if a mechanic did this to YOUR car, WHO WOULD YOU HAVE FIX THE DAMAGES?

Josh, if you're reading this...I didnt post before b/c my husband said you had a good rep on 7thgen and I was having him deal w/ it since he wanted the swap, but to read the PM where you are trying to imply that it was us being shady to you, but no matter what.... the hood speaks for itself..when you were scraping a piece of metal off, it left scrape marks on the top and eventually puncturing all the way through..it's not from improper use - its from INITAL CUTTING of the hood. once again..hood speaks for itself. I didn't notice it before b/c you KNOW how dirty that car has been the last month.

here you guys go....

look at the one i circled on the right...see that straight scrape marks?.you can tell that was trying to be made by cutting that piece on the side....and when you look like REALLY close (can't picture it..cuz it's REALLY CLOSE) scraping it repeatedly all those times punctures straight through the hood....

don't forget to answer my question, everyone...and remember, this could happen to you too....

oh yeah no doubt..that's why i didnt post anything or i wasn't the one who spoke to him...but for him to PM my husband telling him that us going to him about it this late got HIM thinking, it's like i'm am now going to voice my side, the side that has the pictures and the hood to prove it.

In regards to this being his first complaint...just because we're the first doesnt mean that it should be brushed off as nothing. If he made a mistake and messed things up (and there is proof)...HE should be the one to fix it..that's why i was all surprised that my husband was asking ppl where to go and get it fixed and how much it should cost..i am not going to pay for someone else's mistake. what's that term called? back job? if a mechanic messes up, he has to fix it....hope i'm using the right terminology...

File a small claim suit (Santa Ana Courthouse)...very simple. It his words against yours, let the judge decide.

Re: HOOD
you can think what you want but it won't change anything, it was the bump or the hood prop, maby somone closed it with the prop in the wrong place. i have not been around the car for a while and you just noticed it, so it makes me think

my response:
that was one of the messages....the other is saying that I sent it to the mechanic and they must have done it....and it's like...all the mechanic did was put in the other exhaust and then mount the battery in the back... those scrapes underneath the hood (refer to other picture) were made when Josh was making room for the power steering. Me taking it to the mechanic had NOTHING to do w/ that..and plus, that mechanic was my UNCLE. All he did was notice that the power steering was leaking and told me to tell the original mechanic (josh) to fix it cuz it was him that did it. He had nothing to do w/ cutting the hood..that was Josh's dept. He can claim it wasn't him all he wants...saying that just cuz i'm late w/ telling him that it wasn't him....I didnt notice b/c the car was used twice since I got the swap done. Plus, I refused to wash it til everything was done w/ the car. So it wasn't until I washed it that I noticed the holes on the hood.

i work on alot of cars and i try very hard not to damige anything but accidents do happen, in this case after i was done working on the car i looked it over and everything was cool and didn't notice any dents in th hood, plus i couldn't have made any dent with the die grinder i was using to cut the hood with. the car sat for a month and changed hands many times after me and i just find out about it the other day so if i did it how come it wasn't discoverd a month ago

Once again, Josh, the hood doesn't have a dent..it has a cut. and don't say the car changed hands many times. it changed once. and that mechanic had nothing to do w/ the power steering job..it's like blaming the oil change guy for a muffler mishap just cuz the car changed hands. and of course it wasn't discovered a month ago...the car has been touched by me like 4 times in one month: once home, once by bro in law, once by husband's cousin, and once by me. you know how dirty that car is...excuse me for mistaking it for bird dookie, but it doesnt excuse the facts. Plus, btw, i checked w/ three mechanics..there is no time limit for complaining about a mechanic's job. Just b/c it was a month ago doesn't mean anything. if there is proof (which there is) that it was done by you, then i guess it was...

MODS, THREAD CAN BE DELETED.

Issue is resolved by both parties. Josh, thank you for understanding as much as you could from a crazed, pisst off wife..hahaha...Now, I'll just sneer at my husband for doing a swap while he's away, but he's already used to that by now. =P Accidents happen, thank you for a swift and compromising resolution and I apologize for losing my head. What can I say, I'm such a girl. =P

to all, thanks for your input, hood is getting fixed....and the clean supercivic will be back in action in about a couple months...=P
