Well I dont' know FOR SURE, but I have an almost certainty that I spun the rod bearing's due to oil pressure drop. I was taking a long sweeper WOT, right around the redline, when I instantly heard a knock noise from the lower region of the motor (block). I was racing my buddy's Lancer Evolution on a local canyon when this happened.

Well, first off, I was beating the Evo. I've beat E46 M3's, Saleen Mustangs, Sti's, 240's/AE86's/FC3S's/FD3S's galore, S2K's, etc etc. I actually have only lost to two drivers, one a sponsored (amatuer) D-1 driver, the second, an amatuer autocross driver, and I only lost by 5sec's or less. The motor lasted me about 2 years on the touge until I didn't keep up on a an oil change. I know it is easy to underestimate the handling of our ride's but don't let the em2 fool you. It has potential.

Yes, I am planning on purchasing both a dry sump and baffled oil pan in order to prevent the same issues in the future. MONEY MONEY MONEY is the only thing slowing my progress at the moment. The only thing I am worried about with these is the class it will place my civic in SCCA. I plan on joining the solo-1/autocross this summer. Once again, we'll see with the money situtation.
