You should be able to just replace the cv boot as long as there isn't any damage to the axle.
Try to get rid of all the old grease and fill it up with new fresh grease.

When you wipe off all the grease you can just tell if there may be damage.
But usually if there is noticeable damage your car would be grounded right now.

I know how to replace the boot.
I wouldn't recommend you do it at home unless you have the right tools.
Sometimes its a bitch getting the axle off and back on.

Its not that hard...just fustrating when things won't come apart.

Follow the DIY Spring Install to take apart the front.
Go to Kragen's and borrow a ball joint separator kit to remove the tie rod.
Take off the axle and remove the boot.
Replace boot and fill with grease.
Put it back together.
Not detailed but basic directions.

PM me in Feb and I'll see if I can help you.

You also need an impact gun to remove the axle nut. I would just replace the whole axle cuz its easier and once its torn the dirt is already in the grease so its no good.......

Touge Whore is an unknown quantity at this point
You should be fine just filling the new CV boot with fresh grease and replacing the older boot. Unless you are showing the signs of damaged axles, such as "clicking" while turning, you will be fine with only a boot replacement. Just visually inspect it, you will be able to notice most damages, if any.
