I had my springs installed once at generation 1 motorsports once as well. they did it quick in like 1.5 hrs. and charged only $60 no tax. did a good job. the other pairs of springs i went through, I diy'ed, but with a group of friends. The $60 spent might be worth it, if you want to save yourself and your friends the hassle of the hard work.
are you sure autobacs won't install the springs for you, JUST because you didnt buy the springs from them? i had them install my new brake rotors and pads for $60 and I didn't buy the parts from them. they just said to bring in the parts and that they'd install them. when you call autobacs pit service, ask for Chung. he's the guy to talk to there.
