AEM has my car

I just dropped my car off to AEM on the 14th for EMS testing. They said hopefully they can get at least 10 hp out of it maybe more. So maybe just a little more hope for the D17s

You would be giving up your AC for this right? I thought that there was an issue with ac on the 7th gen civic when using the ems.

actually I'm a bit impressed ... looks like they raised the rev limited about 600 rpms. turbo people should benefit from this the most ... ems > emanage, maybe?

Are you thinking about a different cam setup after the testing is done. That might help more than you know.

Im going to install the cam gear and pullies and see what i get from that cuz i havent decided if i want to go K20 or turbo cuz the car has about 95thousand miles on it

and yes it has AEM's cold air intake and DC header along with Denso IK20 plugs but nothing else was done to the motor

well his thing with aem, is almost done. unlike HONDATA. AEM will be comeing out with a EMS for our car, they even have a release date. maybe HONDATA will see this and acctually do something.

4hp not according to aem if you look at there dyno graphs, and considering there the ones doing the testing and procedures, just makes me think at least, just seems expenisve for what you get thats all, but then again most things for the d17a are if you want to get it remotely fast

i was talking about the intake and header. the price could be better i agree with that. the EMS is not easy to tune if you want it properly tuned, to get it perfect. will almost cost a grand.

so am i, if you look at there graphs for a short ram intake on a 7thgen ex auto was 6.6 and the v2 on a manual was 5.5, and the cold air was 2.2, so my point was it seems like it would be more then 4 hp when they added this and a header , but i see now that he has an ex sedan manual, but what increase is it alone with just the ems? is what i was getting at

well lets break it down im going to try this as fair as posible.

ofcorse these number wont be excat but it will give us a idea.

stock base hp for a ex manual should be about 97hp. now we take intake and header witch give us as we see in the base dyno 106hp thats a bout a 9hp increase and that's being generous. so with the ems it went up to about 123hp. so we have a 17hp increase, now there still testing and tunning so im sure they can still bump up that hp.

now imagine if you had i/h/e/pnp/cam/ems/im as a n/a set up. i think we would be looking at some nice numbers for our 97hp car.

im just glad to see someone out there is acctually doing something for the d17, like AEM and CROWER, they should have a set of cams and other internal parts out for us very soon.
