Questions:About my 100+mph ticket
I got a 107mph ticket in san bernadino county on the way to vegas on the 138 on the 5th of january so now I dunno what to expect. What kind of fine am I looking at? how badly am I screwed?
so I was flying by and I was going about 140ish and I was coming up to a car so I slowed down to like 80 and somewhere along the line the cop radars me at 123 mph and pulls me over and he writes me up for 107mph in 70 so I ended up getting to vegas with a new ticket kinda ghey but oh well.help me I need some sort of heads up as to what I'm looking at.

u could have got arrested. thats the first thing.
ur obviously not eligible for traffic school to negate the point (unless u have a good lawyer.... like i did
)
its a manditory court apperance.
possible license suspension period/indefinate
FINES. big ones.
if the district attourney presses charges.... ive heard that u could be acused of manslaughter.... forgot which degree, but becuz ur going that fast.
these are all worst case senarios which u should be prepared for. like i always say, "hope for the best - but expect the worst"
goodluck bro on the ticket. heard of a lawyer from san diego called Mr. Ticket? hes faught TONS of traffic tickets down there. hes pretty famous for it too... read about him in a importtuner i think. try looking him up n giving him a call. i think for this one ur going to want a lawyer to get u out of big trouble. and keep the fines down.

its not manslaughter its atempted manslaughter, and thats only in extrem cases. but do look at any where form 1000-2000 fine along with other things. like probation, and lic suspension.

Friend did 104 in a 35 out here and was charged with attemped manslaughter. Whatever you hit at that speed you die and so does person you hit. Good thing he had a very good lawyer. Car was impounded and he was arrested by the way.

yeah a lawyer is the smart move. althought they may not be able to get you out of paying fines...... they can help lower them significantly. ALSO, if its gona cost $300 for a lawyer thatll get u out of paying a higher insurance every year. then DO IT! the main concern for me wasnt the one time fine..... but the insurance rate that would have went up if my lawyer didnt get me out of getting a few points
