100mph Like WHOA!!!!

I was comming home from work and there is this long stretch and I was all alone doin 45 in the 40 zone. I figured WTF so I cracked into it and started to roll out. next thing I know is I'm not alone! These headlights were comin up quick. I was like cool, just me and him open road,It's on! Well he get on my @ss and turns on the blue and red. He came up to the car and asked if I knew how fast I was goin? I said maybe 50? He said, "hell no boy, you were cookin". He took mah s#it and i was cool and polite(I knew I was Done). He went back to his car for like 15 mins. He finally comes back with a written WARNING! He said 100+mph isnt for the street. Save it for the track. HAVE A GOOD EVENING!!!! I almost crapped my pants. he was cool as s#it. He could have busted the crap out of me but he just let me roll. Goes to show you, there are cool cops out there!

100 in a 40 is not smart. you are extremely lucky you didn't get a hefty ticket or an animal mounted to your hood.

You know.... Sometimes a warning is worse then a ticket... make sure you don't get pulled over again where they can check for any warnings issued...

Hum... Makes me kinda scared to that now. I've bean going 110 - 120 in a 65 where I think there are no cops regularly now. I always slow down to traffic's pace when there's a speed trap coming up though. I think I'll take it easy from now on. Firestone's are only rated at what? Probably less than 110mph, right?

I thought a warning was only "valid" for 24 hours. In that, if you got a ticket within 24 hours of receiving a warning the cops could see it, otherwise it was a done deal.

lucky you, man! you know, the guy prolly just didn't feel like haulin' you in for wreckless driving! Actually, I don't know what it is... but I got let off for a ticket the other night, too....granted, I was only going 70 in a 55... but some of my friends have been getting warnings lately, too...oh well...but if you get pulled over and it looks like you're gonna get a ticket for sure, here's a last ditch effort for you to try... when they ask why you were driving so fast, tell them you have a "biological need for speed"...it helps if you can show them a medic alert bracelet!

Anyway, congrats on not getting to wear that police issue wrist jewlery!

That can't be, Grey! I've went over 110 plenty of times in the stock firestones and hit 123 in them... but... now that you mention it, I think I'm gonna slow down in my race against time.

No, no problem. Yeah, it was a longer stretch of highway. I can't for the life of me remember the rpm's at that speed. I know I was in 5th though. I'll get bigger diameter wheels and then I should be able to go a little faster. Maybe 2-3mph faster than if I had stock wheels on.
