the clip is in between the handle and the door panel.
hard to explain, just take a screwdriver and try to get there as much as u can and pop that out. really hard to explain.
its one of those things i got to show u.
like the rooling thing u hold when u roll the window up and down, its the handle that holds that, between the door panel and that.
sort of get that doorpanel away from it little bit with a screwdriver so u can see that clip. then push it out of its spot but dont lose the clip

outersquare is an unknown quantity at this point
use like an old tshirt, wedge it in between the panel and handle, and rock the shirt back and forth while pulling the shirt into the hinge of the handle. If nothing happens, try from another side.

Screwdriver will work, but with the tshirt you won't cause any accidental scratches to the panels.

That sucks. I have a repair manual that specified this method and that's how I did mine on my old car.

The actually make a tool for that. Go to sears or even maybe autozone and they should carry it. Never used the T-Shirt method but the tool works like a charm.
