New Toy
so randomly my dad decided to get a 1964 Dodge Dart GT. his reason for buying it...he had one when he was younger and he had a blast with it. the car is in great shape, just needs some cleaning up. we are gonna get 20's and a dvd system for it. keep in mind we DONT need another car for those of you who know me, thats for sure!! but yea, we pick it up on saturday, so pics will follow.

Did Darts come with Hemi's? I thought those where kinda small cars (small for the 60's era), not sure though. If it does have a number matching Hemi, damn.... that's a rare car, number mathcing hemi's are really really rare. The guy down the street had a charger with a non-number mathcing Hemi, but the car was orginally a hemi. The car was mint all orginal except the motor which came from a same year charger, got $37,500 for it.
no darts did not come with hemi's stock but moslty back in those days people would swap out there enigne and put hemi's in them.. i know cause my dad used to do that with corevetts and other vehicles he owned... lucky bastard

Rep Power: 403 yes, some of the dodge darts came with hemi's. they had the battery relocated to the rear, most of the accesories where not there, it was pretty much a full race car.
It did not come with a warrenttteee whats so ever...
i saw the history of the hemi on the speed channel... they were soo beautiful...

Rep Power: 0 nice... my dad had a pontiac gto (70's one, not sure which but it was 70-74)... he added some extra wide wheels in the back and told me when he floored the gas, the fuel gauge suddenly dropped down, and when he let off, it slowly rose back up... lolz...
he sold it though cuz i was born and he needed something more fuel efficient, sold it and got a truck.. my dad gets nostalgic when he starts thinking about it, maybe he'll be like ur dad and buy the gto... lolz

um... i dont know much about domestic autos, but whats this "hemi"? i seen it on that one commerical for the dodge ram. where the father and mother are purchasing a new car with their baby boy. and on the way home driving the dodge, the mother keeps tellin the son how nice the car is inside.. and when they get home, the dad gets out and opens the hood and tells the boy "this is all u need to know, hemi..." lol

Rep Power: 0 yes chris, they did come with hemis. they had a shi t load of power too. unfortunatly our doesnt have the hemi, it has a inline , with auto trans on the dash. its really wierd, and it is actually pretty quick. chase, its looking like my sister wont get it after all. its gonna be me and my dads toy.
