Ok so next semster i have a engine rebuilding class and i need to have engine
to rebuild so i was thinking and i decided to get a whole project car so i can have something to put the motor in when im done . but i dont know what kind of car to get
I dont want anything domestic and i cant be expensive i mean it needs to be like 3000$ at most and it doesnt matter on miles since im rebuilding the motor anyway so give me some ideas.

you can find a first gen miata for like 1200 if you look around a bit and they are really nice cars to drive. Not the fastest in 0-60 mind you, but really good cornering cars. If your going to do the engine anyway then you can build it into a hotrod at the same time. Just an idea

well thanks for all your suggestions but i did some research today and i decided on a miata prolly like a 93 or so well heres my ideas
first i buy the car for like 1500-2000$ then i rebuild the motor with all new internals then i am gonna do a jackson racing supercharger which is cabr legal even in cali and then i want to do all the bolt ons .
so i should be at like 220 horses . thats not bad fore a miata well then the same semester i am also taking suspension/brakes class so then i will do the suspension and braking the suspension i want tein coilovers with EDFC and racing beat sway bars and strut tower bars
i also found a sweet lip kit for the 90-96 miata which i would like to add later
if anyone has any pointers or suggetions for better motor or suspension ideas lets here them the better it handles the faster i can go

your miata is going to be so badass. I almost got one of those before the civic but I let my dad talk me out of it. I have never regreted not buying something so much. Have fun with the build and keep us posted.
