Okay...I have noticed alot of members getting mad at Mods lately. So far I have counted four incidents. There are probably more throughout this entire site. But is getting mad and blowing off your temper really the solution? This site has been gaining members for quite awhile now which is great. Yes, more members equal many personalities, attitudes towards other members, etc. We all need to grow up and put whatever behind us. This is just a site for our Civic needs. Why get mad over dumb and ghey issues? Again...Mods have been Mods for a reason...they know what they are talking about and are here to help out. So with that in mind...let's all be a great big happy family.

hmm... what incidents are you talking about?
Well coming from a Mod, best thing to do if you have a problem with one is to just PM them or if anything PM another mod such as myself. We are not perfect, we make mistakes. If we lock/delete a thread and you feel that wasnt necessary, just ask that mod why they did or get a 2nd opinion from another mod. Worst thing you could do is flame them publicly. But ya we are another member just like you guys, well just with extra goodies

I couldn't agree more. Well said Alan!
This is one of the incidents:

Self-explanatory. That's the kind of attitude I get for giving constructive criticism or logical reasoning.

Breakfast got me thinking...
-I don't think that a lot of members realize how hard it is to be a moderator. When you're a mod, you can't openly give your opinions sometimes because you KNOW members are going to erupt. Even if you are angry, you HAVE TO say your message the smoothest way possible as to not tick off all parties. (Monica actually thought of that...)
-Excluding people who don't care about their life, do YOU ever just scream at your parents when things don't go your way? No right??? Same deal here... you can't always freely express yourself because you might hurt your parents. Get the point?
-And why are people in this country so f@@@@@ ****? Why must comments always be seen from the NEGATIVE perspective? Is it because people are too stubborn to accept suggestions? If so, you are going NOWHERE.
-Lastly, for anyone who has problem with the mods: Why don't you go to Honda-tech.net or any other site and see how you are treated? IMO, all the 7thGenCivic.com Mods are above-average people who can control their temper and offer logical reasoning most of the time. We're all human, even mods can make mistakes from time to time! I know I have and I've learned from it. This site has almost NO FLAMING for the most part, why is that? It's because moderators are giving up THEIR TIME to keep the site clean. By inforcing the rules, new members are forced to think before they post to avoid deletion/locking/banning.
This is a great site and we're all here to learn. Maybe not JUST about car parts, but also about life. Don't be an a-hole...

I see this thread is directed towards me.
I don't have problems with mods; I have problems with PEOPLE.
If that person happens to be a mod, then too bad for me, right?
Well, that PERSON who I had the problem with, I thought was abusing his mod power, and was all lock-happy.... anywaaaaaaayyssss....
I think people are people -- being a moderator is a duty, props to those that do a good job -- and EVERY MOD HERE IN SOCAL DOES AN EXCELLENT JOB-- just don't abuse the power.
