The degree gets you into the door. Experience will do the rest.
But yeah. For every one guy that skips college and tries to do his own thing and succeeds, there is 10s of thousands of people are **** ups and are working at Wal-Mart. Just something you have to remember.

running a buisness is extremely competative especially since there is already another buisiness that has been around before you... also, it takes a lot of hard work, especially in the beginning, that sometimes doesn't pay off in the end... but once you get it going, you gain momentum and all you have to do is maintain it... good luck to you and hope you succeed
but i'm not going to take the risk, i'll stick to getting my degree, keep that under my belt and then choose what i want to do from there...
there's roads for everyone to take, its your decision which one you want to take...
damn all this talk about cal poly depresses me... i'm going to be transferring there this fall.. man. it sucks having to work yourself through college. man i had to work 40 hours and have 18 units at P.C.C for three years in order make ends meet. crap even going to cal poly was because of money. i got into SD, communication program. but i can't afford to live out there. so yeah ...

Who said that Cal Poly was a BAD school? It does feel like a commuter school, but the programs are well above average.
I like the classes so far (translation: I haven't taken enough core classes to build hate)

dont' get me wrong cal poly does have a good program. i was just venting on the whole financial situation of college. (my point being that it sucks that your financial situation will determine where you go to learn, which in turn affects your salary) ya know?.
oh but on another note. where's a good place to park. most of my classes are in Building 1

Park in J (if you don't mind walking uphill for 1/4 mile after class)
Or F (close to the police station)
But with the new shuttle system, you shouldnt worry too much where you park. It's supposed to go BOTH ways every 10 minutes! Wonderful...

anyway, back to the subject: paying for school sucks if you can't get fin aid.
tons of asian people I know have parents that cheat on taxes -- they therefore get fin aid easily. So the rest of us have to suffer. Oh well. I'm not saying anything about people on this board -- I just mean people I know. hah.
back to el subject at hand again
anyways, so the complaining was about how much school sucks cuz of the price. . . . just plain rotten.
i DON'T have the money right now.... I'm just scheming.... anyways, does anyone want to buy some stuff? LOL
I need money for school.
Anyone want a brand spanking new (still in package) shiatsu pressure point massager? A small handheld one. Will give up for 20 bux. It was like 30 what I paid....
