For those of you who go to summer school......any improvements in the school?
I saw some new pavement on some streets, but that's it.
edit: What are your opinions about the Japanese Garden?? If its sponsored by some company, i don't mind... but what if the school is using our money to build it??
Talked about it with a few people before....

professor connell?
are u joking about that too?
i can't take sociology, because i am graduating and finishing up both my grad requirements and am also doing extra classes (that i dont need to grad) to fill up for a minor.
if u had told me like 4 years ago, perhaps i could have taken his class. LOL

what's your point?
You don't understand the context in which I said what I said. It's really not a big deal, I've been trying really hard to be nice to her since we've had some arguments about different issues in the past that STEMMED from me trying to lend a helping hand (RSX seats hint hint)... as well as yesterday, I sent her a link to my RSX-S sway bar experience.. her response was "Uhh do you think I fvcking care?" I'm like.. DUDE I'm just linking you to my post.
Why do I try so hard to be nice to people and only get **** shoveled in my face?

can't we all just get along?
well, back on topic... i go to ucr and i didn't get s.hit to help my parents pay for school last year...
cal poly prices aren't that bad... my dorm alone was about $900 monthly plus my parents had to pay for tuition which was like $2000 a quarter or something like that... they were both working and plus i'm the only child so it makes it easier on my parents... i guess i'm lucky and i'm thankful that i have my parents to pay for my education.. when i graduate and get a job (majoring in computer engineering) i'm gonna buy them a big house
private schools got it even worse... usc is like $32000 a year for all expenses!
so don't fret... some people cant afford to even go to community college and end up working for sanitation... (not to put down trash workers, they get good govt benefits... but the salary is not that great) .... ok i'm just rambling now...

berkeley is a great school though.
Her first year she paid it out of her own pocket (or more like my dad's pocket).
At the end of the year, she got a refund check for $14,000 !!!!!!! %#@!!&#
Not sure why she was refunded the money though. We didn't bother to ask.

Stay at your job @ $22,000 a year (with little pay change)
College Degree (let's say mechanical engineering) starting @ $55,000 (and increasing like 10% per year)
But now everything is so unstable...even with a college degree one is not guaranteed a job. heh

Roughy $3,500/yr x 4 (yrs) = $14,000
I think all jobs with college degrees start you WELL above $14,000/yr
Plus it's pretty hard to get a pretty decent (30k+) job without a degree... =\
But then you said before that studying isn't your thing. And it's not becoming my thing either... someone trade my brains.

i've been here 3 years and they LOVE me. i KNOW i wont get fired here. but ya i dont get paid much so i plan on going somewhere else where they start out at 28k. and you can make up to 45k for that position. its not too hard to get a raise, i got a $3 raise last time(which is alot)...
and to stay here isnt my plan anyways. you cant make millions working under someone. only way is to run your own business which i plan to do. and thats something you dont need a college degree for...

i got a $4 that year total but then it aint **** cause its like getting started at $1. ya you get a $7 raise but your still only makin 8 ya know...
i guess there's pros and cons to everything tho. like i just had to fill out a resume, it felt like **** not being able to put down anything under "education". i mean now i have an excuse, i'm only 18 but in the future when i'm like 25, i'm really going to feel like ****...
and i do envy those who live in dorms/college apts.. its sounds so much fun... like a 24/7 party... they say college is one of the best moments in life.. i guess i'll never know. oh well life is what you make of it and this is what i have chosen...
