if you love your car, go for it... you'll love it even more.
get in yourinmyw0rlds car and you'll want it for sure..
i personally dont really like my car so i wont be getting anything too expensive for it.

i say go for it.. since your an auto, the turbo doesn't have to keep re-spooling up everytime you shift... you will have constant boost all throughout... auto does have its advantages with a turbo over manual...
Its a celebration bitches!

it would get in the way but there is always a way around everything, i personally think that you will like a type S swap better, you can get in the high 13s with 3-4 mods... with out turbo, imagine turbo and a k20?

if u have the $ to spend, do it.
half the people on this damn site drool over turbo but can't afford it or isn't sensible for them to get it for some reason
if u have the option and want it, why not just do it?

Turbo lot cheaper then a K20 swap + with the swap you have to spend more money on other stuff besides the engine so your car can handle the new weight. Turbo on auto kinda weird but its hella crazy. Turbo on anything is awesome. If you have the inclanation do it.

I agree. A swap is costing anywhere in the ballpark from $7000-$10,000 right now including installation. I am talking about a K20 or K20a swap. For you who are not good with engine model #'s Type R or Type S motor. I personality do not see spending money on another swap like the SI (K20a2) which is going to give you another car to 2 cars over the EX with the right driver.
I have an auto and am going to go with turbo. I rather spend $3000 on the car than $7000, at the least. That extra $4000 will build you a strong enough engine that can handle a 14psi boost from the turbo with money left over, where as with an engine swap your at a base level again with a different engine, which sooner or later your going to get power hungry again, and want to turbo that engine costing you another $3000.
In the end I personality think turbo is a much better choice for those who do have other bills to pay and get a good constant bang for their buck.

hshadow is right, unless ur real rich or planning to drive ur civic for a long time, turbo is the way to go.....an k20 or k20a swap is gonna cost u $7000-$10000 thats easily a large down payment for ur next car...would u honestly wanna end up spendin more on a engine swap and all the other crap that comes with it when its go it gonna cost almost as much u bought ur civic for >< ??? engine swaps r nice but i just think its too much $$$ for the average joe

if your gonna keep your car forever then get engine swap... if not, get a turbo... if money is not an issue, get an engine swap and then get a turbo...
