Definately a Pioneer deck. Mine has lasted me about 7 years. With subs hooked up at all times, bumping most the time hard as f***. It has taken a beating and lasted, plus has tons of settings, easy to adjust, and sounds great. It also plays cds that other cd players wont even read.

The rest seems pretty nice. I want to get some MB Quarts for my car

Deck - Alpine F#1, Nakamichi

Mids/Highs - Rainbow/Focal/Mb Quart <---Agree with Alex but there are a few good one's I use anyway. Every speaker in my car is Diamond Audio

Amps - Diamond Audio's D7 series (which is the same board as the Isoteric which is who they bought them from), PPI (were only great during the Art Series and PC Series when they were still made in America), Arc, Zapco.

Signal Processors - AudioControl (especially the new D series), PPI (Hey I'm biased and have a DEQ-230 and I've have the FRX-322 and the PAR-245)

Subs- I won't even touch this one cuz SPL and SQ are two COMPLETELY DIFFERENT catagories

I really like my Alpine 9835 deck with the iPod controls, plus it sounds great and looks pimp. I've been out of car audio for so long I'm still forming opinions about everything else. I wish I still had my PPI Art Series amps from the old days. I still do have a PPI din crossover if anyone with some old school PPI might need one. Les gets first dibs if he wants it thanks to all his help lately.

Nice! my old system was way under powered so thus the low spl for the drivers...(3 12w6's) but it hit that while still tuned for SQ! just shut off my mid/high amps...

Peace
