Which seems almost pointless because most street tires will just spin in 1st and 2nd anyway.

Ahh I gotcha... well I do think it will be close since the taller gearing will work hand in hand with the fatter torque curve!

Not at all. He will be falling out of his peak powerband with every shift. The TSX uses a 6spd for a reason.

Hell, I fall out of my peak powerband and I get to rev 1k RPMs higher than he will be able to.

True but considering the same tranny... the 2.4 is better suited to a 5spd than the 2.0! Right?! And the 2.4 will make its tq at a lower rpm than the 2.0...

Yes, it makes the torque lower and more of it. But that particular engine needs the 6spd to pull its full potential out of it, just as I do.

I have no doubt that he will be faster then me, I just hope he isn't faster by much, lol.
