Starter issue??!

When trying to start my Civic, it sometimes starts right up but other times it will just make one click sound and nothing else. I have to retry this until it actually starts. Sometimes 2-3 times other times more and of course sometimes first try. Would this be the starter? Battery is only a year old and for good measure it did clean terminals and posts just in case.
Thoughts on what possibly would cause this?

Re: Starter issue??!

Click from where? Is it a clunk from the starter itself? Have someone listen, or try to crank it while you listen. Tap on the starter while holding the key down, that's a sure fire way to tell if it is the starter.

Clunk.........Clunk..Clunk...................*sigh *...Clunk......CrankcrankcrankcrankcrankVROOM!
