I dont know what your defintion to sporty is. Maybe a s2k or viper or whatever. But I do think a civic well atleast a 04 is sporty looking. It doesnt look like a grocery getter or a damn box on wheels.

Personally I think a civic is as sporty looking as a IS300. The IS300 just has more power and more luxuries and well its a Lexus. No doubt the IS300 is faster and well better but its not even in the same class as a civic.

I just got a call from primedia asking for permition to feature my car on a calendar for 2006
Just goes to show that our little 7thgens can do just as good as any other.
You get as much out of it as you put into it.
This site was created so that any one that wanted to modify his vic could find information, and the few that actulay venture into doing something ground braking can share it with the rest of us.
Is not easy to do modify stuff in a new car but if is hard you'll be the one an only that have it done,
I'm a family man so I got my big *** van if I need to do family stuff.
Still I drive my vic any chance I have.

You cana ask me specs man I know them all, the black tops flow air better, but the s13's are 205 stock with a t25 non BB, while the s14 is 220 with a t28bb, and the s15 is 250 (225 for the auto version) that runs a t3 =)

I just got a WRX..........You would love it! IT killlllllllllllllllllllllllllllssssssssssss the Civic! EVO is also hot but Im running with them in my WRX and I saved some $$$.

People get new cars for different reasons! It doesnt mean there switchin out on Honda's or the Civic!!!! It just means that they A) Want a more classy/"grown up" car, either for family reasons or just matured out of the civic. B) Have done research on another vehicle and have fallin in love or started to desire that new vehicle and lose interest in the civic. C) My personal reason- When you invest soooo much money $$$ in a civic and then realize that people with no mods in srt4,tsx,evo's,wrx's,porsche,bmw, 350z.........and just about every other car at 20K or over can put the smack down on you . It all depends what you are looking to do, If you are going for speed then sorry to break it to you....The civic is not a wise choice unless you got $15K in the bank If you are going for the unique look, Again the civic is a bad choice......where I'm located the civic is referred to as a ME TOO car.......because when you tell someone you got a civic they all say ME TOO! But, If you were like I was 2 years ago and wanted something fun to drive, cheap to make look good and sound fast, and very economic , THEN my friend the civic is the BEST car of choice!

I still look at pics of my civic all hooked up and riced out and I love it and dont regret the $$ I lost on it b/c I had mad fun with it..........But now I'm tired of peas and carrots I need RED MEAT

My point exaclty.
When you are comparing the civic with the WRX

10k into a 14k civic is 24k.
10k into a 30k WRX is 40k. I radder get a vette or many other cars that look good on that price range.

If you put 10k into a Vette you'll also get more HP but may be radder get a Viper

(PPL get a car for differnt raesons) you are just agreeing with me.

The same coments I'll get if I go into a WRX forum and compare it with the Vette.

This is a 7thgen forum I have a seven gen since this site was stablished so I'm staying by it.

I aslo had high perforamnce cars before and it costed me a fortune in maintenace and insurance.
Being there done that.

My personal opinion on the cars that we are discusing are based on goverment evaluations,
All wheel drive cars like the EVO and WRX have a lot of transmition problems.

Civics are a great value and even if you put 10k still will have a car under 25k that can do just as good as the WRX.

If I wanted a better car and put 10k into it I will just go with a vette or G35, 350Z

I wasn't trying to agree or disagree with u, I was putting my opinion out there and stating it how I see it. But what u say about putting 10k into a civic and being able to keep with a WRX is true........But now u have $25k invested in a civic worth $10K competing with a STOCK Wrx that cost $23k and is till worth $23k with NO money invested in extras...........Again, It's all about what the owner is going for. We are all car enthusiast......just some are enthusiastic about different things. I.E. - turbo, show,economy, speed, drifting.......Whatever u want!

So is 17k more than a stock Civic.
Just like a vette will be better than a WRX because is more expensive.
For 17k more I would spect better.

Civics stock over time mantains it's value overall lower maintenace.
WRX stock over time doesn't plus you have more drivetrain maintanance and transmitions problems.

And if is a matter of getting a classier meaty car why getting the stock model?
Still kindda fugly 4 door.

I am still a honda lover and still like the vic......But much happier with the rex as an all around vehicle. I wouldnt downplay any car either.....just stating the obvious.

Hey, I really didnt mean to downplay them, i was downplaying mine. I would probably keep mine if it was stick, but its not =*( lol, **** I know they can make power =) The new civics are sweet, interior and exterior wise (far superior to 6th's if you ask me), its just mine wont do very good for the power dept. =)
