I've got my guys still looking through the police DB, but I also asked an attorney friend about it, and here's what he said:
"Get the police involved - if you have a copy of the cancelled check, it is good enough evidence of theft by deception - the police can get the information through the bank OR the postal service. Hell - if it is an active P.O. box, they can just stake it out"

Another option you have is to do this:
"You can call the bank to verify name and address through his bank if it went through his account the number will be printed on the check back also. Say you are from a law firm and gathering the information to do a garnishment." This is also from a lawyer friend. Unless you use bank of america, and sent him a BOA check, he'd have to have an account through them to cash the check there.

www.theultimates.com it runs through 6 different search engines. One result I got with a quick search was for an Allen Freeman in West Palm Beach. I haven't look at all of it yet, but that's from a quick search.

Popcornplaya, thanks for all that. Ill call my bank up and see if they can send me a copy of the check. The checked was cashed and he signed for it.

let me know if you find out his physical address from the PO Box stuff.

also as far as finding him with his IP address, how do i go about finding that?

Also if anyone lives in West Palm Beach and knwo where that post office is that has that box number, maybe you can do something for me. Maybe a stake out and ill pay u for it, lol....j/p....But maybe if you can go there and try to find out some info.

I don't know if this place is as the message boards I moderate on, but most of the time, the Moderators can see people's IP addys in their window, or can obtain it. If they can't, Derek probably can get it, as it's logged on the site somewhere. Once you get his IP addy, do a simple who is on it (aka whois). You'll get the info from there. He may have a static ip though, which would mean it changes from time to time(especially true with dial-up). I know I have my dial-up where my IP is always static, plus, I also have a program I can run that changes it every two minutes. Maybe you'll get lucky with that route. Just try to get the IP, and run a WHOIS and see if any of the info matches (name, last name, location, etc.)

Ummm...I don't know if I did this right or not, but I looked up a WHOIS IP Address search on google. I ended up getting something saying Kinkos, Inc. FON-1067749632866191.
