well, the time has finally come for my baby to go in for "surgery" and i took it in around 9am this morning. the only good news is i was authorized for an all expenses paid (minus gas) rental car from Enterprises Rental Services. the car i was given turned out to be an odd choice but pretty unique as well. haha
a Silver 2004 Toyota Prius Hybrid!!
now then before you get all hatin' on me...it wasnt my choice. it was there when i showed up so lay off...lolz. but still, its a pretty nifty lil contraption. shoot, i was making 40 mpg when driving 60mph home anyways...NOT BAD AT ALL...even for a usual 30mpg with my Civic.
sooooo, i guess i have THIS ride until further notice..which will be either 2 days or 1-2 weeks depending on the further assessment of the damage by Recovery Room and/or Direct Adjusting Company.
any1 that wants ?s answered or comment on the accident or my rental car...please dont hesitate. shooooooot, even ~> I <~ still have ?s regarding THIS car...hahahahaha
later every1, time for a test drive..

not really...pretty ingenius. the only thing that bugs me is i feel like a 40 ton semi when backing up with that incessant BEEEEEEEEEEP BEEEEEEEEEEP BEEEEEEEEEEEP crap..lol
but honestly, from a 10 minutes drive perspective, its a pretty technologically advanced ride!
~Joey
p.s.- AND, it IS Motor Trend's Car of the Year 2004 for a reason i suppose. hehe

actually yes...it does actually GO like a normal gas-engine. i think it'd be hillarious to see one of these babies at the track on wed/sat nights. hahah.
its a pretty smooth ride tho...nice and quiet, no engine noise; nothing but my nice and soothing Z88.3 in the background. that steering wheel is tight too. i can adjust practically anything on that beast and its reeeeeeal small...like racing style
haha, not that imma do that
~Joey
p.s.- dunno bout if theres a stick available. i got an automatic thingie..lol. its like a joystick. funny thing is, i gotta SK2-like starter button, and the PARK is intiated by a button. hahah

sim: yes, Sept 29th after my first day of the new job, im sitting at a light on Colonial Dr. and was hit from behind cuz some loser dropped his burger on his lap and hadda sudden loss of priorities...and HIT ME!
dave: yah normally u gotta be 21 or 25 (not sure) to rent a car. i was able to and authorized to do so cuz i was the one NOT at fault in the accident and need transportation till my baby is all fixed up. it is 100% paid for by the guy who hit me's insurance. i gotta be careful tho...one solitary scratch and i get docked for it. up to 500 bucks!! (deductible). the Prius was sitting there at the Recovery Room with a pretty decent lookin Enterprise Rent-A-Car associate (LOL). i hadda fill out some paperwork and that was that...easy as pie

heh ^^ it's worse when it's your fault. because you want to feel bad for yourself but you can't because you were the dumb *** taking the turn at 45 mph (10mph turn) man that was tragic to my front end. LoL.
