Angry got a 100mph ticket

got a 100 mph ticket the other night... and that making it my second ticket... i can't afford to get anymore... and the trooper told me i was lucky he didn't give me reckless driving because even though i was using my blinker... i was switching lanes too fast apparently... but anyways.... too all those that still race... u have my props... i can not afford to risk it anymore at this time.... not until i actually have a really fast car and it's worth showing off... until then... watch out for the troopers on the interstates at night... they don't radar you... they will pace you... and i got screwed over since he paced me....

I just wondered cause I've driven up I-75 at maybe 85 or so MPH and the only time I've seen anyone pulled over is cars that passed me and must have been going 90 or more.

If the cops aren't running radar, cutting in and out of traffic will usually get their attention though. I think he did you a favor not to put a reckless op on the charges though. IMHO

I've been stopped in KY at 85 and had the trooper put 75 on the ticket, so it won't go on my AL license. I considered that a favor.

You really gotta be careful these days. Lots people have a cell phone and if you **** them off or drive erotically, they'll call in on you.

yea.... i have the money for it and all.... but i wasn't planning on blowing my well earned cash flow on a stupid ticket and driving school.... and i didn't know people could call in on you... and it was a night just so everyone knows... and i always see the cops in the days.... i didn't see him this time cause he says he paced me since before i got on the interstate.... i know that was a lie cause i would have got me 3 miles back when i slammed on the breaks at that point.... but i couldn't tell he was following me cause it was dark... better luck for all of you

I'm not sure about the laws in your state, but where I live, if your going 30 over the speed limit, you aren't eligible for defensive driving.

My boyfriend just got a couple of tickets and went to court to fight them
1.racing
2.speeding (111 in a 65), he's lucky he didn't go to jail
3.no insurance (his ins. company didn't send him the new card)
4.expired registration
He got off pretty easy though, he has to take defensive driving for one of the tickets and pay $65.00, and pay for the other ticket which is $225.00 and take a 12 hour aggresive driving class. The good thing about it is, none of these charges go against his record.

I don't have that problem cause I'm not doing more than 80mph on the freeway. EX owners might know that after 80 mph, the engine starts making noise cause the RPM is kind of high.. so I try to keep it under.

Lol triple....
In Houston, or maybe Texas 25 over the speed limit is considered excessive speed, and you are then exempt from driving safety school.

I got it at 108 in a 55, so it was wreckless driving, could have arrested me and towed the car. I think it is after 35 in houston that it's considered wreckless.

But I am sorry to hear that..... The same thing happened to me, now a excesive lane changes without signalling (cleared up the speeding with def. drv.), so if I get another "racing" type ticket, or like 35 or more over, my dad will drop me from insurance.. but it's hard to not speed like that. We just moved to katy so I live a good 10 miles of interstate from everyone now and more from work, so I speed about 15-25 most of the time, and still find myself running on the freeway on occasion. I prefer freeway... hmm.... maybe I should take the feeder from now on.. lol, it might help a bit.

What are you doing driving a 100mph to begin with??? That's just plain stupid. Especially if you're changing lanes too quickly. He could have gotten you with reckless driving, towed your car and arrested you if he wanted to. You got lucky.

They follow behind you at a specific amount of distance at the same speed you are going.
