okay, my friend is getting an ATV very soon... he was bragging about how fast it is and how it can beat a civic in a quarter mile... now heclaims that the stock ATV runs a 4 second 0-60.. i'm not sure about that.. here's the specs

I've seen the ATVs run at the track before... I don't remember their times off hand. I hope your friend is experienced with ATVs. Alot of them I seen run have a tendency to wheelie off the line.... maybe its the driver and not the vehicle?

I think the Quad has a chance. This Street Legal quad raced by himself and he was pretty quick. Hopefully he knows how to shift on a quad. My sisters quad has the shifter down by the foot pedal. Its actually pretty easy shifting up.

yeah those atv's are quick at the get go...but lack the top end....they dont seem to trap high but can run some killer times...ive saw some atv's run low 9's...but with like a 66-70mph trap...thats 8th mile by the way...ide say once you hit like 70 or 75mph youll eventually gain and pass him....but you are owned the first 0-60 thats for sure!...ide say you wont start catching up til about the end of the quarter....if you run the 8th mile you are owned seriously bad! if you do run him make him run you atleast a qtr mile
