I think he meant to the wheels... SI's have approx. 138 to the wheels

Rep Power: 0 I hate to sound like an ***, but the Si has 167 HP stock off the lot, with a short ram, it would have about 172-175 of HP. Between these two cars, I would say it would be a close match, the civic may even take the integra, if the integra is plain stock.

Rep Power: 0 My boyfriend has a 99 si, and when it comes down to it, it'll be a close race, but all depends on the driver .....

Rep Power: 0 not flaming antidote11 or anything, but the 99 Si only has 160 hp not 167, and an SRI would probably put that around 165 tops. a friend of mine has a 99 SI and my brothers gf has a 00 GS-R and that stock is 170 hp. a lot of the race depends on the driver, but the GS-R has a tighter suspension so it depends on what kind of race.

Rep Power: 0 i would say the integra would win cuz i had a GSR motor in my former civic and it out performed all the civic SI(160hp) i ran against, except for the turbocharged ones.the GSR motor does'nt get off the line as fast as the SI but half way through 2nd gear the GSR always come rite back and beat the SI.trust me,i know..

Rep Power: 0 FireVTEC is right its 160hp on the fly...and it will be close depending on the drivers reaction time and shifting ablilties. Correct me if im wrong doesnt the Integ weigh more? If it does then the power to wieght ratio would be about the same.

Rep Power: 308 I sure as hell wouldn't try. Now that I see what all of you are saying though, I can't wait till I go home again, gonna take dad's teg out for a spin and try this out. Some punk thinks his SI is bad and can't be beat. Heh, I know how to drive so maybe I'll stand a chance and possibly beat him.

the GSR is faster than the Si. That's nothing to argue about, its a fact.
(if you want me to be specific, a 98+ GSR coupe 5spd is faster than a 00-99 Si coupe 5spd, both US version)
we're talkign mid 15 sec car vs. high 15 sec car.
BUT because of driver factor, it can be a very close race.
but if a good drivei n the GSR knows what he's doing, he should be able to take out the Si.
power to weight ratio isn't the only factor.
end of discussion. ho ho
