Woops... now that I checked, it looks like the Z4 has LESS! The top of the line 3 liter i-6 has 225. My bad... looks like I got my #s mixed up. (Price-wise, it's more expensive, heh.) I swear, I thought that car had more HP. Hmm... my bad.

Just the thought of paying that much for a car just for the name is atrocious.. I'll buy a car for it, not the manufacturer (excluding maybe honda/acura, or nissan.

RSX's stock aren't that great... I ran a type-s and tore him out of the hole, but in mid 2nd he started with the pulling... 3rd and 4th, all I could do was watch as he pulled another length or so on me, in 5th he was about 5 and a half or 6 cars ahead, sowhere around 100mph.... They are fast.. But I don't know about a baseline auto rsx, stock ... I dunno, I know I'd take a stock auto rsx by 1 and a half to 4 lengths, but no more than that.. no vtec..dx..

funny how the Base RSX comes stock with 160hp and the EX civic comes stock with 127. The RSX may be a little heavier but not so heavy that it would lose to any model civic. I could see an EX with I.H.E. maybe hanging with it through about the end of 2nd gear but after that its all over.

My $.02

and s200man...you are right. The k20 responds ALOT more from I/H/E than the civic. When I put my CAI on my 01 civic EX it added MAYBE 10 hp at the most....while it has been proven that the injen sri that I have on my Type S now adds 18hp TO THE WHEELS. So you are right in saying that the race would not be the same if the cars had the same mods. Every engine responds differently.

In the new Import Tuner (EVERYONE go look at it!) ... it did a test on RSX-S intake test.... and it showed the "S" having 159 WHP.... (DAMN THAT's A LOTTA MISSED POWER)... anyways... it showed the SRI adding 10 to the wheels at 169 WHP... my boy has a RSX-S with APex N1 catback exhaust and Injen SRI w/heatshield... and he only pulled a car on me... FYI i have I/H/E on my 02 EX... so i just really think its' all the driver... and he had 6 speed too... so he shoulda had the advantage seeing as no auto bullshit...

factoring a 20% drivetrain loss, 159 whp = ~198 hp. fairly accurate to me.

i was never in the 60s to begin with. with 10-15% its about 160-185hp. still fair, unless you have a magical dyno that's accurate 100% of the time under all possible conditions. the RSX isn't overrated to the point of hyundai's 4cyl's.

edit: misspelled hyundai, and people love to hate on this board sometimes.
