Exclamation Is it worf tha Fitty

So this friend of mine with an auto 93 Integra Ls has constantly been getting crap from this other kid with a 2003 4-cyl maxima, also in auto. As it turns out the kid with the maxima now wants to race my friend with the integra for $50. I don't know if i should let him do it knowing that both cars are stock. What are your opinions, will he lose?

oh..i dont know, the maxima has the advantage that its new and probably in pretty good condition where as the integra is old and probably gotten a lil weaker over the years. but i would probably just suggest going for it,

1st of all, there is no such thing as a 4 cylinder Max.... only 6 cylinder Oh yeah, your friend with the Integra will get completely owned, no contest.

Sorry, it is an Altima, I always get the two mixed up and my friend's car only has 70k miles on it. My bad.... the 6 cyl max would obviously kick the teg's

Heh.. 4 cyl maxima... the Alimta is very heavy and very slow. Integra will stomp it.

I think that would be up to your friend, depending on who's putting up the $50.

i think the altima would def win, man those tegs r not quick, i drove my friends b4 and it was slow, it was stick too. the new altimas come with 175 hp and 180 trq. i would put my money on the altima on this one, if it was the 1st gen altima, that would be a different story, but the 2003's r something else

my mom gotta 2001 altima, its the second generation but that thing is not slow, it dont got top end really but still picks up in high speeds. i would put bets on a 2nd gen altima beating a teg that year and that old, and they wouldnt make the 2003 altimas slower than the 2nd gen, so i def think the 3rd gen altima would own.

i find it odd that in another street racing thread you denounce street racing and everything associated with it. And now here you are engaged in a nice little street racing conversation.

Why not inform all these people why us street racers are such bad people and why it should be kept on the track???

you my friend are a hypocrite

The only thing odd here is you. A newb that takes on all the older members on his first day on the boards.

I would never say you were a bad person, just stupid. '

And BTW: Calling people you don't know, hypocrites, went out with high button shoes.

Try another spin, LeRoy, the ones you're using just ain't working.

while its true i may not have been posting here as long as you that doesn't make me some newb to posting on automotive forums. I happen to be a regular on many other forums.

the Oxford's dictionary states the following

hypocritical - deceptive, double-dealing, double-faced, duplicitous, false, inconsistent, insincere, Pharisaic, colloquial phoney, self-deceiving, self-righteous, two-faced.

When you say sometings wrong and denounce it many times, then you turn around and be ok with it THATS being a hypocrite.

Every forum has members like you, they have a high post count so they think their opinion matters more and if someone has a low post count they are not taken seriously as if their opinion does not matter or is less significant. You seem to be mixing up the term older member with wiser member. Just because you've posted here longer doesn't make you any smarter than anyone else on this forum.

If a person is wrong he should be told hes wrong regardless of post count or member status.

But your right i don't know you and you don't know me (But from the looks of it youv'e already assumed im someone else). But the few statements you have made conflict with each other, thats enough to be called a hypocrite. Its like saying "My favorite color is red" because everyone else is saying it. Then turning around and saying "My favorite color is blue" because other people are saying it.

back to the main topic, i think no one would bet money unless they know 1 of 2 things

1) they have a definate advantage over their opponent (nitrious)

2) they have no intention of paying you regardless of the outcome, really what are you gonna do?? "Officer this man lost a street race and now he won't pay up"

I was in Florida on vacation last week and had an Altima for a rental. I didn't have a side by side comparison of my friend's teg that I've driven, but the Altima felt much quicker. Just my opinion.

the new altimas have quite the large engine, despite the fact it's 4 cylinders. they're big cars, but they will easily take an auto DA integra. if the DA was manual, it would have a chance, but it's not.
