2k2 Civic DX vs. 2k2 RSX
My friend and I decided to see who could win between a stock rsx automatic base model and my honda civic dx. (both 2k2's). Anyways we raced 4 times on a back road in the middle of no where. Every race went basically the same. ( oh ya mine is a 5 spd ) I would jump ahead on the start and then at the top of gears he would be riding near me then when I would catch 2nd or third I would pull again. After the quarter mile we were neck and neck. We are going to go race again sometime soon because I just got my 17" konig traffiks on.
Just thought I would share my race story.

RSX base model..... and you pulling away all the time.....
even if it's a base model auto..... he should be pulling you...
this makes no sense... makin my head hurt....
Someone explain how this can happen

i dont see how this happened either...even if your car is a 5 speed..that thing will pull on you no matter what...when that ivtec kicks in..i actually race my friends base automatic rsx all the time..same results...(i have an auto too..) i beat him off the line and we're even for a while then he just pulls...so i can't really see this happening...maybe next time bring a video camera?

i thought a base auto RSX was SLOWER than a 5spd 7th gen. Unless the RSX base auto is somehow FASTER than a 16 second flat 1/4 mile??

Pulling on him the whole time? Ummmm......I said I was pulled on him every time I would catch a gear. At the end of the race we were neck and neck he may have beaten me once by .1 or so but no more than that. I will try to bring a cam next time.

the base auto isn't really that fast, even with the "sportshift"...i think if the driver is good..a dx could beat a base auto rsx...not by alot though...my friend just got a blue types..and we want to see how much i lose by(just for fun)

Then again, judging by your spelling and the atrocity of your grammar, one is not surprised at the incomprehensible post you've made.

That's just it. This just doesn't happen. A base model RSX will take out an EX Civic, nevermind a DX.

imagine if you could tune your auto to shift like a 5 speed... ultimatley the auto would win.... never misses a shift an all you have to worry about it keeping the pedal down and watching the road for things flying at you... like poo

No, that'd be the other way around. My S2000, though less horsepower and much less torque than some of the competition is STILL faster.
