How about you race him and then tell us who would win?

So if we tell you that you will win(like you wanna hear) and then you loose did it really help to ask us?

this is a 95 civic, but not much diff between a 5th gen and a 6th gen as far as power/weight goes.
right click, save as

my friend has a 98 civic ex with same mods as me i/h/e/p, and i woop him all over the track by seven tenths of a second, he must just suck at driving though, he doesnt take very good care of his car, he grinds third all the time, focker

yup. D16 EX sohc vtec.
like i said, he even beat me on the launch. and as you can see i just flat out pull on him. the new civics must have better gearing or something, or maybe better area under the curve. who knows.

Is there a chance that the extra .1 liter helped? Or maybe that you must shift well...
I can hold on a 2k1 ex with cai and exhuast mirror to mirror except during his vtec he pulls about 4 inches to 8 inches on my, and then when I shift I go 4 to 8 inches in front of him. ( Maybe he just can't shift well... I dunno.)
Well case-in-point maybe it's the liter or shifting... Although a dx sedan should be heavier as a 2k1 over a 95. Did he not have a passenger, omg thats a bad defeat.. lol

we both had passengers, even though I usually am against racing with passengers, but sometimes it happens.
I don't think it's the shifting... watch the video. I just flat out pull on him. If it was the shifting, you'd see me gain in a sudden jolt when he or I shifted. but that's not happening. It's just a steady pulling. I seriously think the 7th gens have a stronger area under the curve, and maybe more agressive gearing.
