A Z06 would make quick work of an NSX. Low-ish 12's vs BARELY breaking 12's, most likely 13 flat-ish car. That's probably a good .7-.9 seconds difference.

Who will win between these 2? Not sure what their specs are but Im guessing the NSX will win.
This is a very vague question. But for argument we'll say two brand new ones...
The Corvette C5R has 350hp coming from the front engine. The NSX uses a mid-engine set up pusing 290hp. So, both being RWD obviously, the C5R has a definate 60hp advantage. The NSX weighs a bit less I believe (don't quote me on that, I don't memorize curb weights.) But... if the drivers were of similar skill levels, I'd definately give it to the Corvette because a mid-engine car is very hard to control at high speeds. Not that any car is particularly easy, but the weight is distributed in a way that 99% of people aren't used to.

The vette also has less hp loss from engine to wheels due to having a rear mounted transmission with a torque tube instead of a conventional drive shaft.
Standard c5 ls1 corvette would be close, very driver dependant, but with a zo6 there is no chance of the nsx winning unless the guy in the vette just sux at shifting.
Just with a K&N Typhoon intake system, Performance MAF sensor kit, and relocated MAT sensor my dad has a hard time finding any cars on the road that can offer him a real challenge. Dont know why, but he makes quick work out of vipers on the expressway and they seem to be the only thing that can give him a good run. Hes yet to find a ferarri to race (although i have a feeling he will win, or at least keep pace) and i have only personally ever SEEN 2 NSX ON THE ROAD ever..... One had a dealer plate, the other was a grampa and granny....
People assume too much too quickly, oh yea, viper is like 70k corvette is like 42k, the viper would win. Absolutely NOT TRUE, and i wish i had video of it as proof... This spring ill have to keep my camera with me more often.

I don't think it's really fair to compare those two... Just look at the engines... 3.2L V6 NSX vs. 3.2 zillion L V300 Domestic trash. I think the NSX should win by default solely on the fact that it gets comparable power out of a smaller engine. Oh, I've pulled up next to a NSX at a street light before. I couldn't believe that there was in NSX in Knoxville. Hehe.

The only *new* Ferrari model I think he could take is probably the 456M. The others would be a pretty close race, but I think the Ferrari would pull out ahead. The 360 Modena is a lowish 12 car so those would be close, but the 360 Challenge would probably own the Vette. Of course, the Enzo would destroy it. But the rest would be very close. Even though it can keep up doesnt make it a Ferrari though . But for about 50K that Vette is one fast f*****g car....

The C5R has 600 hp and weighs 2511 lbs.. it would make that nsx look like a stock 7th gen civic a stock C5 has 355 hp at a curb weight of 3214 Lbs. a 2002 NSX has 290 hp and a curb weight of 1354 lbs. so if you do the math the C5R has a power to weight ratio of 4.185. the stock C5's ratio is 9.054 and the NSX's is 4.67 (est. to nearest hundreth). so, math shows the the NSX would beat the stock C5 corvette, unless you have a million dollars laying around to buy yourself a race spec C5R.

also, its C5, NOT C5R. theres a BIG difference.
Oh and a Z06 which costs 30K LESS then a new NSX will OWN it, in a straight line or otherwise (400 Hp and 1.01g skid pad OWNZ j00)
