ok coming home from work i had an encounter with an eclipse gst. wow was it slow. stock i was guessing but it had the 3 gauge pod thing and all that stuff. clean looking car but damn, we came to a light and i wasnt raceing cuz i was tired from working. so i just took off normal. got to bout 3k then shifted into 2nd and when i shifted into second all i hear is wooshhhh. by the time i was in second he was in 3rd blowin off at me and damn it was slow. he took off and i sware if i did race him i would take him it was just so damn slow. they are supposed to be fast. maybe i would loose in the long run but it was really slow. should have raced him, see what my car would do but i didnt

hmm... so you shifted at 3K from 1st to 2nd which is normal driving, but he was in 3rd. Assumining that both of you left the traffic light at the same time, if he's shifting into 3rd gear already (assuming he was WOT & redlining 1st and 2nd), then I think that is pretty fast. Please clarify....

this would be the second dsm turbo that tried to show boat with me. one of them i beat which i put on here while back. it was an eagle talon fwd turbo it was snowing and so i beat him. then this guy i wasnt racing him i was driving normal and i am not saying i would beat him or whatever im just saying the eclipse gst is a slow turd stock!!!! and this guy was stock. my g/f just beat a rs yesterday and i was telling her how to drive lol!!!!!. eclipse is a turd car i wish i didnt own one right now

in ga, well at least where i live tsi and gsx are the fastest cars, well there are a lot of 240sx with sr engine swaps, but in my mind 4 wheel drive and 4 banger with 300+ whp is not bad.

if you have a turbo in stock form, and yet you're not as fast as a hybrid vehicle, then you're slower than slow.

hahaha..... I know man, I have been here forever, the EX VTEC system has been discussed & beaten to death time and time again.... I quoted that from a fairly new member so others can have a laugh! I'll put a smiley on there so ppl will know it's something to laugh about.
