Moms 5.7L Hemi 300 vs 5speed WRX
Ok apparently this guy thinks his WRX is faster than my moms car that I was driving to a basketball game. He pulls up behind me and cuts his lights on. Then he gets in the middle lane (I'm in left) and he rolls his window down and does 1,2,3 with his fingers. We both jump after like 4 seconds I had 2 car lengths on him easy, with the torque and 345 HP.
Well he wants to do it again. He punches it and I kinda let off a lil but he jumped again, and I punched it and got about a car length on him.
After that he just got behind me and kept a good distance. I bet he was pissed he got owned by a fast luxury car in his WRX.

Rep Power: 330 i know the magnums run like a low 14-14 flat, even though they're automatic. same engine. it'd take a modified wrx with manual and good driver to be beating you in the 300c

Wrx's are great from a stop, but from a roll they arent that impressive.

Rep Power: 339 have you ever driven a modded WRX before? I dont want to argue modded vs stock, but 345 auto crank on heavy car has its limitations. Yeah, mom's car is fast, no doubt about that. Was there by a chance that you were racing a stock auto WRX?

Rep Power: 0 There is a chance it was stock. But it was definetly a 5speed. Like I said, WRXs aren't that fast from a roll. They are drag cars basically, AWD helps them smoke you off the line, then you just have to see if your car is fast enough to catch up.

****, just cause they are awd doesnt make them slow of a roll....if he was racing a stock wrx, i think they have like 220hp<hemi 345hp.....even with the weight of the 300...that sounded bout right...next time go find you a 06 sti, and play with that. It will be a different story

Rep Power: 0 Who woulda thought a 06 Sti would beat a Luxury car. The 06 Sti is made to be fast correct? The Chrysler 300C isn't exactly the same type of car, if it was made to be fast, they would make it in 5speeds, it wouldn't weigh so much, etc.
You guys act like I saw a WRX and was like haha I can race him and win. He thought he could beat me and got embarrased with I believe his wife in the car.

Rep Power: 339 well, it was stock, 5 speed, putting down maybe 170WHP against your big V8. Your win is understandable.... it's good to teach the idiot drivers out there a lesson. The 300 is fast, but not too fast... just saying, not intended to be offensive in anyway, I am fairly sure a dyno tuned IHI VF34 WRX 5 speed should win against the 300 and it still isnt really considered heavily modded.

Rep Power: 0 wrx are slow but the wrx sti are fast even a civic give comps to a wrx so you shouldn't even race that kind car cuase makes you look silly racing a slow car not worth getting a ticket for...

nice kill.... and yes it is a fast car. But the WRX wasn't ment for drag raing it was ment for rally, believe me a well done RWD could luanch pretty close to an AWD car.
