01 civic ex vs. 01 accord & 91 eclipse

good evening, yes, i am a newb to forums / pages - i don't know what half of it means but i am here to learn and to have fun.

Firstly, i have a 2001 civic ex coupe. Nothing special, just an aem cai, dc 4-2-1 header, and a dc tcs exhaust. The car sits on a 3 inch drop and on Motegi MR-17's.

So, here is my most fun "encounter" thus far!

I was crusing home from work, i have about a 20 mile commute each way. I was crusing along at 70mph in the middle lane and i spot 2 cars appoaching from behind fairly quickly. Mind you, i am trying to ration gas so at this point was pondering whether or not to speed up. So, as they passed i decided to play a little catch up, and sure enough i caught up to them a couple seconds later at 100.

Traffic started to accumulate, so we slowed back down to 70. The accord was to my right, and the eclipse was in back of me. As the traffic begun to dissipate, we took off. The accord and i were neck and neck for about 1/8th of a mile while the eclipse struggled to tag along behind me. At about the 1/4 marker, the highway begun to congest again, so as the other two tried to negotiate their way around the traffic, i saw an opening, took it at 120 from the far left lane all the way over to the left and burned them both!

I kept on the accelorator for about 15 more seconds and then went back down to 75. The best part was it took them about 1/2 a mile more to catch up with me while i was crusing at a steady pace. When they caught up, they both just gave me that jealous glare, and i just glanced back, with that smile of victory.

racing in traffic...... weaved around lanes at 100+MPH? I wouldnt consider that a kill, rather the person probably backed off in fear. That is not how a race should be held or decided.

Nice kill but seriously watch on in the traffic you could have easily gotten killed or killed other people. If your going to street race race where no one is around

oh for sure i take consideration into each move made, i survived a terminal illness, so believe me, i value life.

I wasn't going 120 through the traffic, weaving, it was during the straights where there were only a couple cars. The transition was made at 100, which really isn't too fast, i'll try to illustrate a budget diagram of how it was.

* Denotes my car
^ Denotes cars being raced
x Denotes other cars
> Denotes my trajectory
| Denotes lane

that was acutally kinda fun to make, but nonetheless, you gentlemen are right, that was a risky move and probably not worth the consequences. But that won't stop me from driving a little tiny bit faster than that posted speed limit. Thanks for ur input guys, take care.
