r/t .806
60 2.649

mph 63.02

1/4 17.302

yea shitty i know, but it was only the third time ever on the strip and i brought it down from a 17.752 on wed. for my first ever run with a 1.6 r/t
stock drivetrain wise 02 lx 5spd coupe, has probly 200 extra pounds or so from system and lambo door hinges and shaved trunk (most is probly like 230 lbs but most likely less than that), i ran it on stock 14" steelies upfront on goodyear ultra ls tires down to 24 psi. and 215/40/17 on asa's in rear i pretty much revved it to 3-3300 rpm and let the clutch out rather quickly, had not much spin and a decent launch but i know i can improve cus thers no way i masterd it in my third try.
my next 2 runs were 17.44 and 17.49 at 20 psi in tires

Rep Power: 0 dont worry about your r/t for the time being, it doesnt affect your e.t.
i would try different tire pressures. also since the car doesnt have much torque, you may wanna try launching it at a higher RPM and slip the clutch a bit slower. just try to avoid the wheel hop. sticky tires are also a VERY GOOD option. a drag radial with a higher RPM launch and slipping the clutch should improve your 60' times a bunch, but it will shorten the clutch life.
once, you've improved your launching technique, try to improve your r/t. most races (between equally matched cars) are won in the r/t and 60' time. leave ON the 3rd yellow, try to time it. dont wait until you see green... go on 3!
good luck... keep us updated!

Rep Power: 286 well ive got the turbo but holding off on mounting it cus im waiting for several parts to come in from various places and people.
back on topic, i think im done running for now until i eventually do put my turbo on because its somewhat expensive to do so. im most likely going to let clutch out slower at higher rpm with 25psi in tires (steelies not 17's)

Rep Power: 299 You are bogging the launch. Try a higher rpm ..say 4k to 4500 let the clutch out just a tiny bit slower than popping it. Some wheel spin is not bad.

get your launch down to a 2.3 or lower 60' time ...
lose the 17x7 super heavy rims (at least for the track)
lose the sound system (at least for the track).
I'm sure you could do a mid 16 with all of the above
