350z ECU flash or Civic Si with I/H/E?
Guys my friend with a fairly new stock Z had his ECU reflashed. He also has a unfinished sub box with no subs or amps in his trunk.
He also has a 1lb radar detector.
He wants to know if he can beat a new Civic Si with I/H/E? Does anyone know?

I'm not sure if preliminary times are out on the new Civic Si yet are they? I imagine they'd run around the same as an RSX-S, which is about 14.9 in the 1/4 stock, adding in the I/H/E, shave off a few tenths mayeb? Mid/high 14s?
The new car and driver had a article on the o6 Si. Honda has the Si running a 0-60 @ 7.3secs. So it's about a second slower than the type-s. I say I/H/E will still lose to a reflash 350z, hell even a stock z.

yeah if it has ihe then it's gonna be a 7th gen Si.
and sorry, but you're talking a 15 second car vs a 13 second car. Z all day any day.

why is the 06 si a full second slower in 0-60 compared to type s?
I thought that the only difference was the intake manifold, not the head. Is it only slower because of gearing, if so why would honda do that?

^^you're looking at manufacturer's numbers.
wait til we get some decent real world numbers. i think the new Si is gonna be right up there with the RSX-S.

Also it doesnt have the same gear ratio as the rsx type S. Gearing plays a big part.. New SI is 7.1 0-60

^^then you'd be thinking wrong.
the JRSC does not do anywhere near enough for the ep3 to run 13's. they'd have to be cranking up the boost and have other mods.

Yeah he told me he pretty much raped that guy.
Funny thing is that guy was talking so much smack at work and laughing at my friend's Z and his reflash.
When my friend beat the SI driver's *** and met him again at work the guy mumbled "yeah you're faster."
