gtech = gay
my friend wanted to run his gtech on my car to see what my 1/4 times were. I didnt want to but wondered how accurate it was so...... We set it up and find a open road to let teh ultimate d17 with aem sri run. I guess the gtech has a countdown so i launch around 3500 rpms and i get all the way to about 90. I was laughing and then came the moment. 15.6
. I started laughing harder and couldnt believe they actually sell these products. My friend now believes my car runs 15.6's

gtech's can actually work extremely well, but the problem is, no one knows how to calibrate them, nor even checks the grade of the road they are running on. a road can have even a 2 degree incline/decline and it will affect the outcome.
the best way to be certain you have it calibrated correctly is to use it while you run at the track. if calibrated correctly the gtech will usually be within several hundredths to a single tenth of a second accurate to the track/laser timed results.

G-techs are consistent. That means they are awesome tools to see improvements in your acceleration/cornering/braking after installing mods or improving your driving skills somewhat.
This was never meant to be a replacement for a legitimate timed track. Keep that in mind, and yes, its worth 200 bucks.

Get a tape measure, measuere out a 1/4 mile in a road that looks flat.
Next you get a level (the metal with the little glass liquid things, where the bubble needs to be centered to be flat, lol), and do a couple feet at a time. Make sure its all level.
j/p, I have no idea.
