Me vs. 05 chevy 1500

i raced my friend tonight , he's got a 05 1500 5.3 truck. All he did to it was an exhaust. My car (01 lx 5sp , intake and cat back). I wooped him every which way

i dont know how. but since i got this injen intake it helps out. Raced him 2wice from a light and won, hes like "what are you spraying?" and raced from 3rd gear at 60mph, beat him by at least 2 cars each time.

Was his extended cab? My EL is SLOW..stock mind you..but even if I get SRI its gonna be slow.

Bit of a heavyweight, plus the things really aren't geared to be fast cars so much as for towing.

Al Gore FTW is a glorious beacon of light

nice kill....trucks usually feel quicker because they have a grip of torque, but in the 1/4 your average economy car will beat it. it is a truck though, its made for towing ****.

run a 2wd regular cab with the 5.3 and a shift kit. You'll need spray just to hang, the new trucks aren't so slow anymore. Anyone race a regular cab hemi? A Silverado SS or an escalade? They all run 0-60 in under or close to 7 seconds.

sorry, im just against suvs that go fast as thats not their purpose in its class

I'm not flaming, I just think that a modded SUV has just as much business going fast as an economy car...The guys with cut springs, blown shocks and huge rims w/ bald tires kinda scare me when they pull a F&F on the interstate.
