type-s cai vs wrx stock

This race happened awhile back but thought it was worth postin. We were in stockton (me and friend with type-s) kickin back after finishing installing the cai on the type-s and then another friend hits us up to tell us he has a wrx for the type-s to race. My friend agrees . So we found a good straight on 11th street (tracy) and the rsx-s and wrx went off a roll. I think they started in 3rd and in 4th the type-s pulled a couple cars and then the wrx stopped. At the next light he wants to go off a line. My friend and me both know the wrx should win this time and very bad and the wrx owner seems pretty confident. Well his launch was bad and he bogged and the type-s immediately won through 1st til 3rd. That was it. My friend and i both thought the exact opposite would happen off the line.

Jeff B has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Yeah stock wrx is fairly slow. The wrx really benifts from mods tho. Open things up a bit and turn the boost up and the wrx would smoke that type-s.

not to mention how much more effort it takes to get all 4 wheels rolling as opposed to just the ones closest to the motor.

I properly launched WRX will annihilate a RSX-S from a dig up until 80mph or so then the S will start reeling it in. That boy needs to learn how to drive. Watch out for the cobb stage 2 WRX's though (225-230 awhp). Its a very cheap upgrade and will walk a RSX-S from a dig or roll.

yeah we talked to him and even he said how he doesnt know how to launch yet. He has mods and is pretty good at lauching now. Keep in mind that the rsx weighs like 200 pounds less too (cars.com shows curb weight) Thats the main reason why i posted this. The wrx shoulda won off the line bad but the driver messed up.

even with cai, id still vote for the stock wrx, but doesnt mean the s doesnt have a chance.
now... if it was a sti, good bye s.

hmm, that would cost about $1300 give or take a few hundred? For the WRX, simple solution, IHI VF30 or VF34 upgrade, tune..... and 250 WHP is there for you.
