Beat an RSX-S last night
So I was cruisin home from my friends house last night on Greenway, as this rsx-s flies past me. I cought up a few seconds later, and he sees me. He stepped on it first, and than I downshifted really crappy and he beat me. I pull back up to him, cuz I wasnt going out like that, lol. I downshift, he takes off, than I take off. I was DEAD EVEN from 40-90, than from 90-110 I gained about 2 cars on him. It was sweet. I thought the top end Id get killed. I was wrong. It was an awesome race. He had I/E I believe, and was dropped a couple inches on 17's. it was very nice. He than turned off after we reached about 110, so i couldnt talk to him.
Ive also beaten a Mustang GT, Mazdaspeed Protege, Escalade Truck, and a few others. If the Escalade had smaller wheels, it may have won.
edit- this race was at 10psi as well.

bullsh** he stopped. He kept going. He was going 109 -110 as well. He was not too far behind me, and was still accelerating.
And I dont know exactly what mods he had, it was a VERY NICE rsx, and it was modified. Sounded very clean, had at least intake/exhaust. Coulda had more done as well, I have no idea what was done to it. It was quick though. Ive raced other ones with my car stock, and they were not nearly as fast as this one.

I was in second, than I shifted to 4th at 90. I shifted perfectly. I do have a LX as well, if that matters to you. I have seen plenty of RSX-S's before I was turbo'd, and the ones I raced were not this fast. I have no idea what he had done, but it was not stock. It sounded good, and coulda had K-Pro tuned and whatnot, I have no idea, and am not saying it had k-pro, so dont start a flame war on that.
running 10psi u should have killed that kid, and yeah that's prety weird that u just all of a sudden pulled 2 cars on him after being even with him for so long... the mazdaspeed u should have walked hardcore... and I hope u mean a supercharged escalade.

I walked the mazdaspeed hardcore. He had no chance, it was funny, he was trying to cut me off and stuff, and he couldnt, haha. The Escalade was not supercharged, but some of them come with 350hp. Like my dads. His hauls ***, but it still wouldnt beat me. Same with the Denali's, they are definately fast, but all the weight slows it down. I raced a Denali, this guy thought he was all cool, so I whooped on him. It was quick, but it had no chance at all.
I usually race at 8psi, but I needed a littlre more power against the RSX. I am very confident it wasnt stock. I expected to walk on him hardcore. My friend had one, I mean their quick, but nothing hard to kill stock.

let's give a hypothetical situation. You are racing an srt4 with boltons.
you race him and are DEAD even from 40-90 and he suddenly pulls 2 cars on you from 90-110. and he's not spraying. wouldn't you say there is something very strange about that.?

no. 90mph is a shift point for many cars. depending on transmission gearing ratios, it is certainly plausible that when both cars shift to a respective gear, that power band and transmission ratios may vary enough that 2 cars from 90-110 is not impossible.
a good real world example. I have a friend with a supercharged and built CRX. from 45-85 he can stay dead even with me. suddenly when i shift at 80-ish to 4th, and he shifts at 90 to whatever gear he shifts into, I start to pull quite easily.
but just as plausible, the guy might have missed a shift which could account for it as well.
either scenario does not take away from the fact that he won.

I've race an escalde before w/ 5people(including me) in my car, and the escalade had couple of people in there as well, I think we were racing from 55~95 or so.
I would I would get smoked, but we were almost dead even...lol it was funny haha...

it was the last body style, right before the switch to the new hot ones! THe more blocky ones. Not sure which year. We raced from about 30 mph. I raced another one last night at 7psi from about 25-30 as well, and it was no prob for me. He had his girl in the car too, we raced twice last night. The RSX had to be modded, cuz that thing hauled ***. the mustang was more of a joke, but there are many of them that will kill me hard. I tried racing a SVT yesterday, haha, that thing woulda killed me.
